I know it’s a non issue, really… but I’m really bothered by Italian soldiers’ names.
The first time i saw my army literally full of guys named zhanluidzhi bujardini or amadeo quatroki i laughed my arse off. but i thought well, this is closed beta, they’ll ask someone or google a simple list of believable names…
no. they didn’t.

That’s nothing. Guerin Neri (which means that ‘N’ word in Italian) and Wasmod Hitter (last name almost close to we know who). Those are the best I’ve ever seen and can remember of atm.
I am Italian, the first time I saw uniforms, heard the voices of the soldiers, and read the names I almost threw up, they did a bad job especially forcing to use Italian soldiers in German squads and vice versa

i think they’re ok some of the battle cries are pretty cringe but i heard some nice northerner vo a couple times
Not true. Neri is an existing surname whose literal translation is simply the plural form of “black”.
The real translation of the N word in Italian (that I am only going to mention for academic purposes) is spelled “negro” (exactly like black in Spanish), and nonetheless it appears in actual Italian surnames (Negri, Dal Negro); as such it is even used in road signs whenever a street is named after a person who happened to have such surname. In these contexts, it is normally tolerated and nobody makes a big deal of it.

Neri is a fairly common Italian surname, actually… Guerin on the other hand is not even a name - the name is Guerrino (unusual but in the 20s it was more common)
On the one hand, I feel some schadenfreude that others felt what Russians feel when reading the names “Kuzma Goat”, “Boris Razor” in other games.
On the other hand, I think that this should not be the case. Publishers are very interested in attracting European and American players.
You can just throw examples of suitable names.
P.S. It was very difficult for me to find information about Italian war heroes in Google. I would be grateful if they would send me information on this topic.
