The prototype was presented in May 1941 for testing and was officially adopted by the Regio Esercito (Royal Italian Army) on February 4th, 1942. 200 units were ordered, of which only 160 were delivered.
FIAT 665NM Protetto
Italian Second World War Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) developed on the 4×4 FIAT 665NM chassis. A total of 110 were produced before the Armistice on 8th September 1943 and were used by the Italian Regio Esercito (Royal Italian Army). Some were then captured by the Germans, who reused the majority of those vehicles.
