2× fuselage-mounted 12.7 mm (0.500 in) Breda-SAFAT machine guns and 2× wing-mounted 15 mm (0.591 in) MG 151/15 cannon or 20 mm (0.787 in) MG 151/20 cannon - (Dardo-B)
SAI.403B
BR3 plane with a good mix of medium and light cannons for all youre killing needs.
BR2 a good mix of guns and bombs better guns would move it up to br3 but as is looks fun.
BR1 if it flies like it looks the few guns it has wont save it a decent low level bomb load for a two engine plane.
BR1 barley
BR4 it will melt you if you get in front of it
BR2 weapons br5 looks
you rank this br anything 2 and above ill listen to why
Yes well guns arent everything. Its how they fly and what they fly against
SM.91 is a low BR plane in Warthunder, and even with that payload is more a BR 3 Attacker (BR 2 attackers have that payload and more manueverable)
Beaughfighter and bf110 is similar etc (Beaughfighter isnt a BR 4 plane, but its held hostage there by its rockets)
Very familiar with these aircraft…very
Why would you be shocked. If you look through my suggestion history its not a first, or unusual (IAR-81C, P-38G, XA 38, Spitfire MK IX). Wont be long before I suggest planes like IL 2 and Yak 9K get the Up BR stick if their oponents get it.
I insist on planes having their “proper” power matchups, especially ones that have been neglected too long
Macchi C200 saetta? Supposedly could out turn and out climb any enemy aircraft up to spitfire at the cost of only 12.7 breda safat… could be an interesting folder to the one we have now
It also has an open cockpit which could be an interesting mechanic to implement.
Unless the beaughfighter is br 2 the sm91 is not br3
4 x 20mm and a turreted 7mn
Is not the same br as
6 x 20mm and a 20mm turret
Unless you consider 6 12.5mmto
be in the same br as 4 12.5mm
No one is an expert in everything enlisted ill listen to more experienced player but don’t throw out insults . Not saying you have but some have said if you don’t fly you can’t talk at all about it. And a beafighter is a twin engine as well and while maybe more agile I don’t see it as being exceptionally mor
if all planes were limited to air to air combat
Air combat would be the only thing that mattered
But 6 20mm would shred infantry and tanks
Apart from open tops or APCs, you wont replicate this with any consistancy (or at all). MG 151 cannon ammunition belts in Enlisted dont have enough Penetration to reliably get through the top armor of Allied or soviet tanks. 21mm (IT), 18mm (APHE) pen at 10 meters (even US 50 cal AP has more pen than this)… and thats perpendicular (20mm is a pretty standard top armor)…meaning you would have to be flying straight down and really close…which means you are gonna face plant into the ground)
Id wager most if not all tanks you have lost, were to something other than a 20mm. (bombs, rockets, large calibrer cannon)
and as you “cant” see infantry further away than 250 meters, 20mms dont really net you any better than a 50 cal. Anything you do hit, you most likely never saw, and maybe 2-3 soldiers at most. which is nothing.
Its Bombs, Rockets and >30mm HE cannons that have effect on the ground game (splash)
The main use of <20mm is soft targets and aircraft. and what good is more cannons if you cant get them on target. (basically more doesnt mean better if you cant get the oppurtunity to use it…it could be 1 cannons…it could be 10)
