This is in stark contrast to War Thunder, where if a new vehicle is added, and you have the vehicle after it researched, you can research the next one no problem. For example, if the M1A1 is not unlocked, but M1A2 is, then you are free unlock and purchase the M1A2 SEP with no issue.
This needs to be changed ASAP. After all, if newer weapons/vehicles are added in future updates, and they are before whatever weapon/vehicle you are researching, it will derail your research until you unlock the said content.
Good thing I maxed Berlin, Stalingrad and Normandy before this shite show, so the only thing I can skip are Tunisia and Moscow stuffs for Axis, and for the US I got Normandy, but the rest are… Ehhh
I lacked ~4-5 shit grade smg’s to unlock stg44.
So far unlocked ~2 of them.
Regardless how foolish it is id say its still by far faster than the previous system.
And if they comes with a squad, you are obligated to buy them to keep progressing, not a big deal for Weapons, but Vehicle, dude, 15k per pop since tier 3
Yeah, they force players to work for unlock those awful weapons. We are forced to unlock 7 bolt action rifles or lever action rifle in the rifle line of each major country in order to get the top weapon like AVT-40 or M2. That’s insane.
If they want to retain players this is a horrible short sighted idea, the players who grinded every campaign are unaffected but to the players who casually enjoyed the game seem to be directly targeted since i only played two campaigns, now my next weapon doesn’t cost 160kexp it costs 670kexp and significantly more silver and that’s the most discouraging thing i have ever experience in a game and its funny i am a F2P player and i was thinking of buying premium up until that point because it felt as if the decision to get it was forced upon me instead of me naturally wanting to streamline my experience.
Its also funny because i am now encouraged to wait to see if they address this instead of me playing the game and potentially waste my time. I’ve always said i like playing games to waste my time but i dont like games that waste my time.
I seriously hope this is changed or I’ll end up quitting over the merge as well. I can deal with the new tier system and matchmaking but not letting me continue my old progression just because I only played 3 of the campaigns is like spitting in my face. A single campaign was already a huge grind and now we have ALL of them combined in the way. Sure there are duplicate items you no longer have to research but overall there are more items and there’s more trash stopping you from continuing your progression. We’re also forced to buy every single item along the way, not just research it and this is a further wall and there’s WAY too much to buy now besides just gear for soldiers. The silver economy cannot keep up.
I agree! I maxed Normandy axis and i would like to get tiger 2 and fg 42 model 2 but i cant because i havent researched zh 29, vg 1-5, panzer 3 e, italian tank destroyer, panzer 4 f2, and stug 3 f.
