Is this as popular as I want it to be

Although I can see some hardcore fans here, I have to consider the fact that sometimes my games are full of bots, despite cross play and EU, playing at a normal time.

Do we think it’s to do with matchmaking not finding enough players or something else?

I may be totally wrong and it could be the intention, but sometime I check players in sessions showing 4 or 4 / 5 players in a match, but then other people in kill death feed, there names aren’t in there, no I don’t mean bots.

On other occasions it shows a full server, but the battle is dead and I question the players in session.

We can queue at the same time, on the same server, and you will be placed on a diferent server with bots. Same for me.

Mm simply broken.
What ever if there are players to fill a lobby or not.
The event (train) show that it’s possible to fill teams with only humans in under a min time.

Why they don’t do it its beyond my understanding

My guess is that they use those AI squads to train AI.
It’s mostly based on gossips but I don’t see any other reason to do it.

It’s because people leave mid-game and devs still haven’t implemented a proper matchmaking and solution to rage-quiters.

So we are convinced, coz you are The regulars I am talking about, you honestly believe that this game has enough players. I would like to think so, so then we can feedback to devs to try and work on mm, they need to I think for new players anyways.

Sure with your magical matchmaking you can fix everything sir

Solution to rage-quitters is easy.

  • Leave them without any points and reward those who are willing to pick up where they left it?

Also, if someone is willing to start in the middle of the game, he should be able to click “Accept also mid-game entries” on their options.

Then the computer could add those real-life players to replace the mid-game quitters.

Why would anyone pick up mid-game games? I would if it would provide more points for kills and everything?

I WOULD DEFINITELY GO IN.

Players should have an option “Join in the beginning of the game only” = Normal points collection speed (Same as always no changes there)

Or “Join also mid-game games” and you can replace some deserter/ rage-quitter in middle of the fight and gain extra points as compensation?

Thiw would be Win for everyone who has some team member quitting, win for everyone who joins mid-game, win-for the whole game because quitters would not be a problem anymore and win for the quitters because we dont know if it is a network or computer issue they are dealing with or are they juts rage-quitting?

Persistent OFFICIAL servers please with map rotations and a robust server browser with filters and all the other bells and whistles.

Good games like BF4 have remained so popular and have survived so long specifically because of the server browser, the map rotations and the ability for players to find a match with other people playing any time of day or night.

Guess that ship is sailed after cb nerfs.

Game’s dead bruv, player count to the gutter.

Oh why are you still here? Please move on, he already dead.

Same with WT, Gaijin game always receved dead threat from 2016. :joy:

I leave games when a team doesn’t play the objective, I don’t think it’s worth it to carry peeps that just ignore the cap. It’s similar to talking to a brick wall, they can’t be convinced to be a team player. Can you really blame me for not wanting to stick around players that don’t exert any effort?

This should’ve been the option a long time ago as there are situations where its better to just desert because of a very late join

I don’t think it’s people leaving games, as it too early in match to know if lost cause, but I really like the idea of xp incentives to join mid match too!

The game is far from dead, I think it’s the matchmaking logic, as I go on in prime UK time, still get matched with bots sometimes…

@Keofox Hi, just to bring you in to this conversation as the suggestion above might help with quiet bot games, despite Enlisted having the player pop.

obviously we’re just speculating but i don’t think the game is dead. maybe we’re seeing a decline in top tier players but that’s to be expected once they finish or get close to finishing the grind. the game is constantly getting new players especially on console, as far as i’m aware it’s still a very popular f2p on console. obviously that doesn’t really benefit us since ps4 and xb1 players are apes, but it still means that the game isnt dead. problem is, there are just much more well known games on PC and gaijin’s advertisement to PC players has been kind of trash, and that’s putting it lightly.

  1. Looking at Youtube and Twitch the situation is pretty bad (Quadro biggest CC and the game gets momentary traction only through payed sponsorships).
  2. Still got no concurrent player number like there is in WT.
  3. Pretty sure we all keep seeing familiar names in the scoreboard.
  4. Ever since the game lost traction and the monetisation has gotten more aggressive

As for the new players from console seems there’s basically no staying power, most of em seem to not stick with it in the longterm and less new players will def stick with it due to the economy changes. I have started seeing complaints about the inability to switch campaigns from people who came post economy change.

There is actually no such thing as AI as one might believe from consuming to much Hollywood.
Its all just scripting. If - Then.

i’m not sure this is a great metric to decide whether or not a game is dead. though i may be slightly biased, because i hate most youtubers/twitch streamers as they killed the fps genre with their shitty ‘le ebin moment combilasun xdddd’ and making every 2 year old upload shitty montages of their epic quickscopes.

solid argument.

i do recognise some of you here but i’d say 90% of the time, each scoreboard is pretty fresh with names i don’t recognise. not super populated, but not dead, either.

I really can’t argue with this given the recent moscow premiums. but who’s to say that’s because of low player count, or simply gaijin greed? gaijin being greedy is literally what they’re known for, WT has been getting the same aggressive monetisation and that game still has fuck tons of players (somehow).

As for your last point, unfortunately, that’s how every f2p game is. They rely on whales to buy shit all the time, and vets to stick witht heir premium. most of their money is made from whales and the odd prem sale to new players. the real ‘new players’ are simply there to act as shooting targets for vets and whales, nothing more. they don’t care for retention, only consistent turnover - this has been a staple of the f2p model for about a decade now

ngl I think its made up number on War Thunder. 2 years ago you waited on Level 5-6 arcade only 2-3 mins for combat during European daytime. Now its much closer to 8-15mins waiting. And game is over in 6 mins. Even if setting in all Servers, waiting time is pure Sadomasochism.

Maybe but i guess we don’t have enough dedicated players to begin with especially considering that they will add new campaigns and the possibility of level based matchmaker due to to gear disparity.
As for the monetisation part, Enlisted started out pretty well in terms of monetisation and i think it’s due to it being a shooter so it has no monopoly, but seeing it becoming like WT gives me the impression it’s not doing well and it’s them changing the model to make the money they expected.
