Thanks to idling through the event game I managed to get an unique plane, but it has fewer rockets than TT version of it, is there any reason I should use it besides better look?

M8 rockets are weaker and are less space effective so you can take less of them to battle.

Im glad its this way, imagine if people could cycle two HVAR p-47s, veterans have the necessary squads for that.

I dont like the idea of an unique being weaker than its unlockable counterpart but I get what you mean

and yes, it is not as strong as the other.
though, you still have rockets to clear objectives and bomb tanks every once in a while.

They can take p47 and corsair combo instead. It doesn’t matter that much.

true, but at the same time, it is required to have at least unlocked the p47 squad before the merge, have grinded the p47 & corsair events / or be extremely lucky to have obtained those from silver crates. ( to be extra annoying )
so… i imagine not a whole lot of people.

easy to avoid by just flying next to the ground though.
rotation speed of AAs are rather awefull.

So you can technically have 3 P47 squads with 10 Hvars and a 500lb on each.
nope.
normandy only had premium P40 E, P-51C-10 and mostly british ( tempest and boomerang/Moschito, one of the two ) ones.
i believe you are reffering to the premium FP-5. which it’s essentially somewhat like the FP-5 but with HVAR.
so… technically you could have an HVAR trio.
but with different aircrafts.
