the gold soldiers have a little ribbon next to their name. I think they want to add some kind of bonus to the ribbon in the future but currently it does nothing.

it will get you a special soldier:
i mean, it’s not really that special, because it’s just a level 5 soldier Type I ( comes with the 35% climbing speed of default ) with a decoration icon. although, the decoration it’s not visible on the character ( yet ). but nontheless, you don’t have to grind it and you once he will gain experience, you will be able to put 5 perks on him like any regular soldier.
mind that at some point you will will be able to obtain two golden orders.
don’t be afraid to use it in the campaign you currently use the most.
because you can’t use them twice on the same faction of that campaign.
so you can’t get let’s say, two decorated soldiers for GE normandy.
because once you used your order, the option will disappear.
but you can use it for GE in normandy, and GE in Moscow.
Maybe they will get vet perks in the future.
Not having to go through this convoluted Academy? That’s the biggest benefit I see…
Eh I guess its fine. I expected a bit more considering the weapon order gives you a unique gun.
Its special in the fact theyre based on a real life person with a slight name change. The ones i got from twitch drop were at least and those were rank 4, so i assume the 5’s were based on a historical person too.
