Hello comrades!
I just got a very nice idea for a new mod, but for that i would need the autumn map to loose its snow…
Is it possible to remove the snowlayers from the ground in the moscow autumn map?
It looks beautiful, but i feel like the snow is ruining the autumn atmosphere to be honest…

well…
so, in short, you can, and will be essentially through shadervars.
but… you’re gonna effectively change the textures of the terrain.
so, you’d just end up coloring / replacing the texture of the snow. but it will still produce the same sound of snow.
other issue is, you might change other textures of the terrain too.
hence, you don’t have a real slider and what not.
so to speak, a not so precise tool.
the parameters you will work with are too… arbitrary.
and not really precise in the way you want make them to.
if you really want to make candy land, the best person to ask is @Devenddar
but don’t expect some refined / accurated / quality or anything realistic.
it will look like:

Another way is recolor textures by editing map code.

You can download levelsblk.zip and then put one of files to mod folder.
Change file type from blkx to blk and then edit level entity.
It should have path to file (%ugm/filename.blk).

so i edited the file, renamed it, put it into my mod folder with the scene.blk but it does not work
Do i need to create a new folder inside the mod folder with the scene.blk file?
You cannot remove textures, as they are baked into the level.bin file. afaik.
Perhaps a tutorial for WarThunderCDK might help to better understand what can you edit and what you cannot:

You can only edit microdetails:
