Is there a way to detonate a TNT charge without having to put down all 5 of them beforehand as a Guerilla?

What the title says. Although the “upgrade” that allows you to have 5 TNT charges on your Guerilla soldiers seems very lucrative it only hinders your because now it takes far longer to get them to explode due to you having to place all 5 of them before your soldiers pulls out a detonator. Am I fucking stupid or is this just hilariously bad design?

It really should be right click to throw tnt, left click to detonate

As above, use the 6 key to cycle between TNT and Detonator.
