Is there a way to ban maps?

Im playing Rank I and II Alies, and most of the times the game is pretty fun, but there is this D-day Invasion map mode which is outrightt unplayable, as 10/10 times the Alies just get butchered on the beach by German MG and Panzer III without even touching the bunkers.

Is there a way to ban this specific map for myself, or i should just desert when the MM drops it for me?

No you can’t ban maps for the moment

Thanks for the reply. Guess this should be added hopefully soon, until that i guess i will just desert all the D-day maps or maybe switch faction to one which isnt plagued by this.

But i bet some players would enjoy D-day & will get harmed due to me & possibly others just dropping out of the game as soon as the loading screen is done.

Have you tried flanking?

Are you talking about the beach landing map? If you are, try flanking left or right and then put down a hidden spawn point on one of the flanks.

When you’re flanking, be sure to leave your squad behind as far as possible. Place them in a specific spot, then run ahead of them until they are triggered to follow you when you’re too far away. Then find another spot to plant them that is hidden from the enemy. That way you don’t have a large group running across the map that is easier to spot than a single soldier.

Also, when you’re flanking, stay low on the terrain to the enemy; this means you should be running across the beach near the water. It will hide most—if not all—of your movement to the enemy since the beach sand gets higher as you move away from the water. This gives you both cover and concealment.

This tactic is not a guarantee; however, it’s much better than running straight into enemy gunfire. In fact, you should be flanking on other maps as well. Too many players just run straight to the next cap point, and end up dying—thus depleting the limited number of lives you have as an attacker.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Easy answer just quit battles you don´t like, be it maps you don´t like or if you are team is full of bots and opposing team full of diehard vets.

“Preferred maps system” is in development.

To be honest, I don’t hardly ever look at my map, I just play. But I have played long enough I don’t think I need a map anyway. Either way, I don’t see a problem with people having and using maps, as I doubt to many squads took to battle in WW2 without at least someone in the squad having a map.

So, you request to eliminate maps from the game? Request denied. :yum:

He doesnt mean the minimap

I agree with what you said, however, when I leave my squad and it doesn’t matter where, 2/3 of them end up dead anyway with my Radioman mysteriously always dying first. I have hid them in the lowest level of a bunker and 2/3 of them still died.

I tried flanking the enemies, most of the time i managed to clear the bunker on my flank & get a rally up.

But regardless my actions the Alied team just burns tickets too fast on that map to even have a chance to take the cap. At least in the BR I MM you lose -12 ticket like every 8-10 sec… so that map is a guaranteed lose on the 1st objective.

Is it going to work like the WT one that you can still get the bad maps, just you are way less likely ?

I think it all depends on when you play, not the faction or the map. For example, you may play early in the day and lose repeatedly, but play later in the day with different people (same BR & faction) and win. The day of the week may also matter, as well as which server you’re using. I play at different times of the day, and I’ve seen this happen many times.
