I remember playing Fortified District and lots of winter maps on Moscow with snow falling and fog and having lots of fun on them but right now it seems that we have 90% of the time only maps in autumn. Is it like a seasonal thing where they whip out the winter maps in winter or what?

doesn’t take you long to see how many people despises fortified district and the snow.
( yet those are the same asking for stalingrad snow. )

fog is ok if it’s overcast or smth, but when you have it during a sunny day… neah
btw… is my memory failing me or did Beloe lake used to have lots of snow? I know you said they decreased snow but i want to check on this particular map

beloe lake did not had much of snow beside few areas.
as, currently, moscow campaign is divided into two maps.
one fully covered with snow ( fortified district, monastery, manor ):
and another with autumn enivorement ( which still has a bit of snow, but not too much ).
( there all the others map takes place. such as mainsky forest, beloe lake, the other one with garrisons, and all the others that i’m missing the names )
yeah, i still need to make adjustment through the snow,

This map is placed on Volokolamsk_Winter, not autumn.
At least because you can see the monastery from it, which is beautiful.

maps are different though.
you can’t find some maps that are in the game in the non-winter/winter version.
for example, the mainsky forest, quarry and beloe lake are not present in the winter version.
on the other hand, you will not find the fortified district, manor and a few others in the non winter version.
Probably because there is no snow in it area?And the blizzard turned off?

battle_of_moscow_volokolamsk_countryside_winter
