With the announcement of the Pacific we’ve seen that the new campaign is going to be like most campaigns with a regular grind and then a preorder package that contains several unique squads and some other benefits. I’m sad that the preorder lacks any EXP bonus even something like x2 but I do think it’s better than locking the campaign away from F2P players.
Is there any chance we could go back and fix Stalingrad to be more like the pacific? Unlock the levels for everyone and just make like 2 new squads for Full Access Pack users. The x4 EXP and pre leveled stuff is already worth it and as someone who has the pack I would much prefer everyone be able to play Stalingrad without needing to buy the pack.
Since its already announced that the Pacific goes back to the old format with the full access thing discontinued, they better do something about Stalingrad like new maps since the money spent on full access doesn’t offer much compared to other campaigns once the grind is done.
Maybe a bit too late to salvage the campaign unless they do something concrete.
I’ve been saying for such a long time that Stalingrad should’ve been exactly like the core format of all the other campaigns. Have a decent amount of levels, add some new levels every once in a while, and occassionally release new Premium Squads
It should have been but at the same time, Stalingrad is literally just Moscow. It was the perfect campaign to test their ideas they weren’t 100% sure on, like the medic squads, stamina thing with the mg’s, BA buffs, flame tanks and the monetisation system. Some stuck, other didn’t and not many people care.
It just needs more maps. When Stalingrad was announced I was expecting it to basically be Berlin but with Moscow gear. We need some maps that are more focused on CQB. Also a sewer map, since fighting took place in the sewers.
BA change has already been implemented. Other than that, I don’t think anything else was successfull. Medics are glorified assaulters, flame tanks are finicky at best, the mg nerfs after the accuracy nerfs were an overkill and the monetisation system is self explanatory.
It’s likely the only mid-war eastern front campaign and gives us access to like easy T34s and similar things. I think it does overlap with Moscow a bit but also has some iconic content that is otherwise locked deep into levels elsewhere.
