There are many posts and threads about what premium squads are and what they represent.
On the gameplay side of things, they are absolutely filthy overpowered, close to P2W and I would love to discourage people from buying it due to that reason. On the other hand, I myself purchased a german premium pack to speed up research because I want to try out as much as I can and leave my feedback about it, especially since I don´t have much of a free time.
On the other hand, I sincerely hope that they will get eventually balanced out or reworked properly.
So for getting research faster its a fine tool, but braindead Rambo style massacre eventually stops being fun.
However, premiums squads as they are… are just killing the game, I was being 100% honest here, thus based on what I said I leave this up to your discretion.

Agreeing with above however if you want to support the Studio behind enlisted I encourage to buy one of em. I myself received a Alpha key back then but however I bought both premium packages anyways.

Supporting the devs by buying a premium pack is encouraging them to let it remain the way it is now. Unless they actually say it themselves that it will be made less P2W in the future, I don’t think anyone who has been an alpha tester should be buying the premium packs. As alpha testers, our job is to make sure that this game is made as good as possible, right?

I was also part of alpha testing, yet purchased the pack for reasons I mentioned above. That however does not mean that we shouldn´t be pointing out that premium squads as they are now are simply a bad decision and I believe that we should do our best to send a message (through any means necessary, even if it means openly discouraging players from buying them) that premium squads as they are now needs rework.
If I learned something about gaijin over time, it is that only way how we can vote is with our wallets and provide feedback and discussion AFTER we get attention from it. (that is reason why WT top tier is a mess, naval forces a ghost town etc… high sales from P2W premiums is among major reasons why this is the case) Discussion about why this is wrong, so we should vote and stop this before its to late.
I don´t want Enlisted to follow same fate.
I totally agree, this is just monetization policy that gaijin is practicing. WT with P2W top tier premiums be my witness.

I Hope and Believe that devs do Enlisted Paid, no F2P.
So no Premium Squads etc… and everyone will be Happy. 
I can advise you to buy it becouse it gives you some new game expirience - weapons, skins, tactics. Its not the best one for expirienced player but totally worth it for begginer and collectioner or supporter
well, this is a hot topic.
if i’m being honest, i find those squads way overpowered compared to the normal ones,
but on the other side, those are important to the financial support of this game.
when speaking of this squad, you get access to a squad that doesn’t need any upgrades, because it’s maxed out in terms of squad upgrades, and already full of veterans ( 5 star soldiers ) basically, they have 7 automatic soldiers and the best perks in the game already right on the bath.
Note that only one non premium squad can archieve such powerfire, and not even equal. ( 5 automatic weapon for squad, which 4 assaulters and 1 machinegunner )
and you get acess to the mp41 4 stars for the germans, or the PPK-41 4 stars for the soviets. there is no way to obtain those weapons outside the premium squad. because those are rare.
but there are also many downside with this squad.
some of those, might gonna get a fix, but as right now,
- you cannot train assaulters if you haven’t unlocked the ability to do so in the non premium assault squad. so accademy cannot be used even if you have this squad.
- you cannot change weapon to those premium assaulters. so let’s say, you wanna give them a shotgun, and keep the mp or the ppk for another squad, well. you just can’t. it doesn’t allow you to do so.
- this squad is only structured by assaulters. no engineer for back ups, or any other classes avaiable.
- based on players feedback, the russian PPK-41 it’s slightly stronger than the mp41.
and the last downside that it’s more personal for me is,
right now, premium accounts are not out yet, meaning that you are limited to 4 squads, 1 that can use vehicles, and other 3 are made of infantry squad.
this premium squad will take you 1 spot out of 3 for the regular infantry.
if you keep having this squad, you are gonna have somewhat, and easier, but longer grind.
because each individual squad that you unlock ( the non premium ones), are different and if you want to grind it in order to use all benefects that can offer ( because each squad it’s different ), you have to replace the premium squad in order upgrade those non premium squad. because the premium squad will not replace the other’s squad experience. yes, it is truee that this squad helps you to earn more rng lootboxes or logistic per match, and increase the campaing experience much quicker. but it’s gonna make harder your other’s squad experience ( if you relay too much on this squad ).
because as you probably know, squads are made by soldiers, and squad experience.
the squad experience allows you to improve your squads, improve your reserve, improve classes and improve weapons.
the premium squad does not cover this essential part.
in conclusion,
if you don’t have much time to play this game, and just wanna have fun, go for it.
you are gonna have fun, you might don’t care of progression which it’s gonna somewhat limit you, but at the same time, not in gameplay, and last but not least, support the game.
but if you have planty of time to play this game, don’t buy it. it’s gonna empty your wallet and ruin your game experience. in someway, even if you are going to buy this premium squad, might become usefull for rng lootboxes and faster campaign rewards. but i suggest to wait for another premium squad due to this one having it’s own limit, and/or see which microtransation will be improved. because i don’t deny that those premium squads are like war thunder premium tanks. they might gonna nerfed in a while. but you spended those money on. so…
i would personally prefer having cosmetics, or boosters that has to be buyed with real money. but this is just my opinion.

Like premiums in War Thunder, I don’t see a point.
Every time that you bring out a premium squad is a time that you aren’t progressing with your other squads.
At the same time, why would you progress with your other squads? If you want to be as competitive as possible, all you need is to max the LMG and SMG squads for the most part, then run the premium SMG squad alongside that.
No matter how you spin it, those 3 squads have the highest DPS compared to any other squad combination in the game.
yeah. this is a big point.
people can just play with premium squads. ( not right now, but in the future with more squads it will be possible )
it’s an expensive option. but at that point, you are skipping content. either way.
because as it is right now, this premium squad already somewhat replace two grinds of other two squads. the one it self, and the basic smg one.
this system it’s just wrong in so many way. but yeah, again, it’s for those that doesn’t have time and just want to play the game.
but even further, you are just gonna lock players from having things. a player that will pay, will never have the same quanity as the regular player, as the regular player can’t archieve the same stuff of a player that pays.
statistically talking, both players will be end up disappointed.
and i don’t know how the devs are gonna think this system will works.
this kind of system, would somewhat works like war thunder lower tier premium tanks. where there’s a research system. but even there, it prevents from upgrading the other tanks.
and enlisted is no difference. you might wanna buy those for having something different, but doesn’t make you accomplish that much.
in my opinion, it’s system to bring player in the game, make them feel fustrated. because they just payed alot of money, for something that it’s not that extreamely good. might works for a few weeks. but than you realize how much it takes to progress with other stuff.
i strongly disagree. this could work for cqc, defence invasion. but only there.
and you can’t just relay on fire power. not in a game like enlisted. it’s better if you have enginners and variety of different classes to fit more roles. rather than relay too much on the others, and your own AI.
again, dps it’s a matter of opinion. especially because enlisted it’s not about TDM or something like that. yes you need a good dps, but after all every weapon could do that. and having different variety it means more adaptation for be suited in every combat situation.
but maybe it’s just me.
At the end of the day, I always try to play with the “it’s a game” mindset.
Of course I have a habit of being the FotM-hipster where I focus more on trying to counteract whatever’s OP at the time rather than using it.
I have soviet riflemen maxed out because I figure they’ll always be in my squads. Also planning on maxing out soviet snipers because it’s a playstyle I like, and I also want to make the most of the SVT.
