I recently started using fighters again and got 6 kills in a match with the FW 190 and that was pretty fun, so I was wondering if the premium 109 G-10 was any better at killing other planes than the 190.
I would just look at the stats in game, You can compare and contrast them if you open the menu up, one thing is for sure the 109’s seem to handle a lot better in this game than I would expect them to, so the answer I guess for me as I’m not sure.
Well the turn and clime rate for the 109 is better than an unimproved 190, but what I’m more curious about is the difference in their armaments. The premium 109 sacrifices the rockets and 3 20mm cannons on the 190 but it has 2 30 mm cannons instead. What I want to know is if 1 20mm, 2 30mms, and 2 mgs is better at shooting down other planes than the 4 20mms and 2 mgs on the 190
109G-10 in the tree is 10/10 air 2 air
Its up to you to determine if you’d be willing to pay that much for a premium one

109s fly like an extension of yourself in this game
The 109 with gunpods give you much better killing potential too
Hitmarkers lie so lead anywhere from a quarter of an inch to a full inch (1cm to 2cm) ahead of the lead indicator btw
You’ll get a feel for it when you start blowing planes out of the air in a single half second burst

Thanks, it sounds like the only advantage the 190 has is that it would be better for attacking ground targets with its rockets, but since I’m looking for something better at dogfighting that doesn’t really matter, and for the other 109 it’s $50 just to upgrade the cannons, which also doesn’t seem worth it

its probably the best pure fighter for normandy axis i guess (as long as the 30mm hits register). i bought it at full price shortly after it was added to the game and i would say i have gotten a decent amount of value out of it.
however, the price is fucking horrible. so unless youre rich, i would recommend waiting for a sale. but even with 50% off its still really expenisve imo
Pile of shit on a plate is better, than FW in this game. And yes, BF 109 G-10 is awesome, both unlockable and premium ones.
As someone who owns the ME109 G-10 Premium, I personally think it’s the best fighter in the game.
What you do is use your superior speed and get really close behind the target and unload your 30mm into them (user tracers to aim)
It will instantly end all allied planes, even the P-47.
I’ve bet I pissed off many P-47 players when I instantly vaporize them.
It’s also pretty decent at strafing with its 30mm.
