I haven’t played Berlin Allies in about a year and as of recent I’ve been hearing that it is a hell fest with the amount of veteran Axis players that have now hopped onto the campaign to grind it out and I was wondering, can the M4A2 76 still contend? Other than the gunner zoom being bugged out atm (it’s seems to be permanently stuck in the zoom in) it’s a decent tank. From what I’ve heard both IS models are terrible so I thought I’d ask.
M4a2 is great. It works against all threats has 5 crew and 50.cal and good mgs

No, it can’t reliably fight Tiger II H, and overall falls behind compared to Tiger and Panther.
It has poor HE and quite high silhouette. KT with rounded snout is pierceable, and you can check this on testing grounds. JagdP and top KT will eat you with no chances

It only have 1 zoom level at 5x magnification with a 15 degree FOV.
Ideally you want to shoot at the at the hull MG port, but realistically it’s a small target and people are not going to let you shoot at their weak spot. If you meet a Tiger II H it’s better to avoid fighting if it know your presence and switch to infantry support.
You can decrease vehicle camera FOV to the minimum 50 degree to get extra zoom and shoot their main gun, or you can shoot smoke in front of the Tiger.
…And yet somehow, when I hopped in a confrontation match on the German team with a +200% booster yesterday, Russians wiped us out so fast that I couldn’t even complete the “spend 12 min in battle” task.

Did you start out on Moltke Bridge? (Or whatever it’s called) if so and if they bum rushed it as soon as the game started it was probably pretty easy for them to keep the rush going.

Then I have no other explanation for that experience other than that the Soviet mains were trying to be as historically accurate as possible💀

To be fair, a 50 cal on a soviet tank is actually pretty useful since T34s lack a bit of anti infantry power.
Its definitely “usefull” yet can’t compete in a tank fight against german top armor.
I’ll be interested in Battlerating placement for those vehicles, if its low enough it could potentially dominante - yet I bet it will be facing panther tanks, which would simply be a overall weaker vehicle.
