It’s at least loosely based on a style of cammo used on some tanks in the desert.
However, I am unaware of any evidence that that the Firefly ever made it to North Africa, so I don’t know why it even has desert cammo on it.
So, it’s correct on a normal Sherman, wrong on the Firefly, if that makes any sense.
This is from my limmited understanding of tank camoflauge patterns, overall the Brits tended to use a single colour and preffered instead to apply camoflauge netting and other similar physical additions, rather than relying on elaborate paint patterns (like the Germans).
It seems way too bright, especially since it was originally a Normandy squad.
Yeah, that’s the sand-coloured base. I think it’s supposed to be desert camo, that will remain my guess, and if that’s correct then it’s absolutely wrong on the Firefly.
Edit: It could work in Burma though, but I don’t know if it was ever brought there either.
It’d be cool to see it replaced with the camo of the firefly overlord:
Or perhaps another firefly asset from war thunder.
A netted Firefly would be awsome in game, ngl, perfect for a ambush predetor.
NOO, DON’T GIVE THEM THE IDEA THAT THERE’S SOMEONE WHO LIKED THE TIGER 1 H AND IS-1 OVERPRICED PREMIUM THAT ONLY HAVE CAMO CHANGING NETS!!! (In all seriousness that fire fly looks pretty cool.)
They wouldn’t sell 2 premium firefly’s anyway, but the current camo is just ugly and they could easily copy and warthunder asset.
