Is the diversity of MOD decreasing?
It seems that game modes like GUNGAME are very popular, while many interesting and creative mods are decreasing, which is not a good phenomenon.
I noticed that people don’t like playing these Mods mainly because there is no benefit: in a large mod, it sometimes takes 1-2 hours to complete the whole game process, and people are unwilling to waste their limited time in games without any benefit. Therefore, it is necessary to benefit mod! Give players EXP!
The official can check the mods in the sandbox. Since there are usually no more than 10 new mods in a week, it won’t take much time
I plan on spending my internship working on a digital environment (game map) for this game. Would be nice to see people playing other’s hard work. The no incentives make that difficult.
Then make your mod shorter lol. People don’t like matches that is extremely long, the armored train escort at the start is too long and dev need to separate it into two. So why will you think that having benefits will make people stay in extremely long game if normal game mode can’t do it.
You are encouraging officials to make smaller and less historical maps. How long does a battle in history take? Is ten minutes enough for one side to win? Can the Soviet army in history reach Reichstag Square from the railway station within half an hour?
Since you like COD’s fast fight, I invite you to return to COD and BF
Moreover, you are changing the topic: perhaps there are not many people who like to fight for a long time, but in the ordinary mode, a long fight will bring much more EXP; Why can’t we get anything in mod? The problem is that there is no EXP, not other things you said
Don’t you remember players complain on the forum that armored train escort mode is too long? If player feel the game is too long, that will just leave. It has nothing to do with exp.
Then you should just go straight to the point. Don’t say word like below.
Keep in mind that most games mod didn’t give anything. The mod is not the main thing of this game. It serve more like a fun mode.
i don’t think there’s an issue with the diversity of mod.
whether it’s true that majority are of gungames, let them do it.
because after all, people often want simple things. and they are allowed to enjoy them after all.
it’s up to you whether you want to do something different, or similar.
problem with complex mods such as ours ( operations with different objectives types and sizes or so i call them like that ) have many issues regarding principles.
you see, we are no devs. we do not often respect the technical limitations creating often rather unbalanced or rather questionable performant mods.
whether i loved and still play occasionally your berlin mods, performance are a nightmare.
and so my blood and rose is affected by the same issue.
another thing that isn’t really keen of loved by devs perspective, is the fact that some equipment is already placed on the map and ready to be used by everyone.
i think in my personal opinion, mods digest is a wonderfull serie where we get mentioned and more people will eventually check other mods of the same author if interested.
on the other hand,
although, maybe i little incentivize for mods would be apreciated from us, and incentivize a bit more to play mods.
but it’s a bit though imo.
or, at least that’s what i think.
