I think more balanced matchmaker isn’t a binary proposition.
SBMM doesn’t have to mean pitching 10 top 1% players vs 10 top 1% players
I think the game would be drastically better if matchmaker simply prevented bottom 90% skill br3 players (with half their equipment being actually BR1) being put up against top 60% br5 max slots meta lineup teams
Bonus points for trying to even out passive and active players on each team too
Come to BR5 where you can just run in the open most of the time
