the jagdpanther is okey.
it’s not bad, but not great either.
i only suggest it if you are an experienced tanker.
and only if you have the rest of your equipment roughly at the end tier.
because once the merge will drop, you’ll might find your self with low level weapons among end tiers because you have the jagdpanther. which can be considered an almost end tier vehicle.
beside, the jagdpanther is able to pen majority of the tank that you’ll face. but you’ll still need to aim precisely for weakspots.
and above all, since the merge will be a thing, maps will be more open.
so, i suggest you to consider the gun depression over normandy. as you’ll most likely will play normandy and berlin due to the soft rule ( if that’s actually a thing )
something that you might wanna consider.
but if you truly love it, i guess go for it.

It certainly makes you play with your team more. So long as you stay pointed towards the enemy and have allies around you, it is fairly good.

In Normandy, its always better to choose Tiger over it. There’s literally no good reason to od otherwise. Tiger is definitely way more enjoyable tank.
In Berlin, where this tank is available as premium, I don’t it’s really worthy. After merge, It will be available for free. I would rather consider to buy dicker Max.
Way more unique TD because of its 10,5 cm cannon. But unlike JP IV, it doesn’t have MG. If it’s problematic for you, I would still rather buy premium Panther A in Berlin. Since its basically the same as JP IV, but with turret. (Dont forget that ausf A has better turret traverse speed).

It’s not a bad vehicle, but it perform terribly in the campaign it’s in. The gun optic is on the top of the roof while the gun is lower and offset to the right from the optic. A lot of time you would find yourself having a clear line of sight through the optic but your gun is blocked by an obstacle due to it’s low profile.
Despite having a good optic with 5x magnification, most Berlin map don’t really have long line of sights for you to utilize the Jagdpanzer IV to it’s full potential. The map it perform best in is Moat East.
The Jadgpanzer IV shouldn’t slept on. It is still fun to use even though it’s not a meta vehicle, and it offer an interest style of gameplay.

and most important , most enemy dont even recognize it as a tank.
i cant tell the number of times i just stood stoped with it , or tanks like SU-76 just too see how long one would spot me. its not the usual panther or pz4 one sees in the wild. so most times the shape of it its 99% of the job done.
