After a while I decided to get back to this game and thought of maybe getting something special to play. As I have heard the awaited research tree is soon coming to the game, and as of that I started to wonder - Will my purchases lose value once that will be implemented?
For example, let’s say I want to buy Pz.IV E for the Moscow Campaign. For now, it is near the peak of the Moscow campaign when it comes to armored vehicles of Germany. Yet once the research tree would be implemented, it would fall down to being a mid range vehicle but with a (current) price tag of top-tier.
Or will the seperate tiers be limited to a specific campaigns? Not really understanding how it is planned to be implemented as I struggle to find all-in-one description post for it.
I have already heard of the withdrawal of Stalingrad Access pack where people ( who maybe failed to notice) lost a lot of content they paid for, because maybe didn’t have the time to unlock them (or you know, took a break from the game only to come back to this).
But, taking your PZ4 example in Moscow, a tank with HEAT shells will always be very good. It will probably be the same br as the regular pz4, only with better anti tank shells.
For the rest, I suggest you to wait for the 50% off for the squads you want. This deal happens quite often during the year, and takes squads to the price they should normally be.
waiting for the new game version, that will change viability of MANY game items, is the only right play. since it will come out in a few weeks, you wouldnt even be able to profit from a newly bought squad.
and thirdly: you want to put the right incentives on a company as a consumer, so if you say “i will only buy once the new stuff comes out” you put motivating pressure on a company to work better and release the new content faster.
So holding off seems indeed as the only solution. I really hope they will at least try to preserve some historical Immersion. If I will se Tiger II in stalingrad or moscow, the game will be done for me like War Thunder.
Best to wait, eventually a sale will happen and by then, you may not even need the x2 experience anymore. Well, there are some cool stuff to role around with like the rocket vehicles.
I wrote this in a separate similiar topic. Go to the shop in each campaign and find the super cheap low BR squads. Those will be future proof because their main weapon is low BR and you can equip their second weapon slot with an end game weapon now making them the biggest bargain ever
Eh I might not be the best person to answer this thread since I purchase everything lol. But, the squads acording to devblogs will stay mine, now and after merge. And some unique weapons and vehicles, are def worth the shot.
