Is it really P2W?

I see a lot of people are complaining that this game is moving towards a P2W state, but other than being able to buy slots for more combat ready squads, a feature that players really should have some kind of free to play way of getting (at least a couple more slots), I dont really see what could be considered P2W.

Premium accounts giving you a boost to progression and players being able to buy squads with enlisted gold, both features which are already present in most free to play games and dont really affect your skill which is still required to do good. And premium squads, which come with unique guns, are limited to only 4 soldiers, while free to play squads can get way more than that.

Most of the game is just P2F (Pay 2 Fast) but things like the unpenetrable pz38t is indeed pay to win

You mean Pz 38 t?

yeah sorry

I have not tried, or seen the pz 38 so I cannot say, but Id imagine theyll add T-34s and KVs for the moscow campaign in the future so its OP status is only temporary

How does it fair against the T 26?

It doesn’t fare well against it at all - because they are both on the same side.

I meant T 26, I need to proof read these replies.

The T-26 has ~70mm of penetration so it could probably pen it, but the 38 still has a larger crew and more armour, not to mention the T-26 is paper thin. So pretty poorly unless you get lucky

lol - well as @73927816 says - it pretty much ****'s all over it.

The lack of armour is what does for the T-26 - ther is no angle or aspect from which the 38t can’t kill it easy - whereas the T-26 can struggle if hte 38’s armoulr is angled a bit.

The armour of course means the 38t is also resistant to anti-tank rifles - whereas the T-26 is just a pinata.

On the up side hte 45mm HE is much better than the 37mm… for as long as you can stay live to use it!

The German premium tank for Moscow, the Pz38tF, has 50mm frontal armor, 30mm side armor and 30mm rear armor.

The default Soviet tank for Moscow, the T-60, has 27mm of armor penetration.

I think that should explain enough for that one.

Both would be ridiculously OP so doubt. Then again, they added the Jumbo for Normandy.

Other than that, we got the BAR LMGs, which have basically 0 recoil with very high rate of fire, ammo and damage.

MP41 and M2 Hyde are also strictly better than normal SMGs, but are unobtainable now as they were CBT-only premium weapons.

MG30 is also kinda OP but will be removed from store as well next week.

Both tanks were used in the battle of Moscow

So? You saying we should also get Tiger 2s to Normandy as well?

Just because something exists doesn’t mean it is a good idea to add it.

Were there even KTs in Normandy?
Even then if they add KT they should add more than just American troops. Really fill out the roster.

Across its entirety, yes. Also tigers 1s, panthers, etc.

Again, they’d be super OP, just like the Jumbo is rn. None of them should get added, just how the Jumbo should be removed

actually on normandy there should be tiger 1s and panthers, and yes, they should be added, alongside the firefly, churchill vii and other tanks that were historically there

Tigers and Panthers were extremely rare. And just because they existed does not mean they would be fun to fight against in your little Stuart.

I absolutely agree that it wont be balanced against stuarts, but thats why the allies should get better armour too, as well as better infantry AT

Then that better armor renders the puma useless. It would be too much powercreep. Atm, in terms of war thunder BRs, Moscow is 1.0-2.3, Tunesia would probably be 2.0-3.3, Normandy covers 2.3-5.3 but probably should be 3.3-4.3, while Berlin covered 5.7-6.3 when it was available. Berlin could probably go down to 5.3 and introduce the Tiger 1, it already had the Panther A.
And piat and sturmpistole actually don’t have terrible armor piercing capabilities - all damage models are simply fucked. Both can easily penetrate like 80mm of armor.

the puma is a scout vehicle, its not supposed to be a well armoured monster
