Sure there are many new-face cool stuff but it is also true that many of them are just unnecessary copy paste. And there are still many stuff from minor axis countries that are missing.
Again, more than ¾ people don’t want copy paste, we want it as less as possible. It was predicted that big chunk of weaponary in Stalingrad will be repeating but I don’t see the necessity of american arms and captured breda m.30.
history repeat itself
dont you see tunisia with copied and paste normandy progression stuff??
I dont really see enough to interest veteran players besides the ones that already wanted Stalingrad. Maybe new players as their first campaign would find it differently though
Its a WW2 game. There arent infinite amount of weapons.
Even if you would have went with the japanese, gear would be similar still. Oh wow a reskined BA or a more fancy MP35 for a Type 100. Or a fancier Bren with the LMGs.
I dont mind copy paste weapons as long as we get a cool setting, new mechanics and amazing maps. And stalingrad seems to full fill most of these well for me. Like lets run this down?
Medics
Bombers
Detonator + explosives
Ampumolet
Maxim
Cool looking maps
Trophy PPSH
T34
PZ4 G
Hell i am happy
Im also not very pleased with few weapons here and there, BUT this plan is only for 26 lvls, if they plan to take it to lvl 40 they might put in somethin new, anyway i have no problem with most of the weapons there …they gave it things they know the best, i overall wanted pacific more but it seems that would be very big nut to crack for them
I hope some progression changes will be made to current campaigns too
imo MKB and AVT for troopers is weird idea, im wondering how that ends up… i was hoping for more different guns like fedorov, lahti LMG, than captured stuff but why not… for now
I’m really bummed out by trophy weapons being leveled unlocks, so yes.
I liked that each side had their own particular strengths and instead of offering gear used by minor nations, they decided to just use trophy gear which wasn’t even issued but, captured and used until it broke or ran out of ammo. It’s going to be quite silly imo to have whole teams of Axis troops where half of them are running PPShs.
And now it’s probably going to be a thing in other campaigns to a greater extent than the whole Soviet Panzerfaust thing. At least that was a specialized weapon, not something that is a mainstay of the team’s equipment. Heck, Pacific campaign might just have the Japanese running trophy greaseguns instead of using mechanics to balance the firepower deficit.
I still don’t understand why they used a survey from 2017, where 90% of current players didn’t even know about the existence of this game, not to mention that in recent months they started topics where people were already bored with copying and pasting, which it was always germany vs the whole world, people wanted something new, the pacific front was ideal, but they chose to use a survey from 5 years ago, the current mentality of the players has changed a lot, tastes AND everything else. I just hope that the next campaign will be something refreshing and not another Germany against the world.
I dont care as f2p im fine and im going to have fun
Even as a paid acces player i am not planning to make my squads be MKB + PPSH.
Hell its gonna be a few PPSHs + MP40 + K98k. I like historically accurate squad setups
agree, spamming a meta is not fun at all, ok I also have fg42II but I don’t use a 9 squad with her, there is no fun, for stalingrad weapon, the soviet weapons are all the same there is no difference, for the german ones only the danuvia I care but I can live without
Sometimes copy-paste is inevitable due to the time period, but I just don’t feel like re-grinding Moscow 2.0 again
Perhaps soviet weapons are very familiar friends.
But weapons of Axis is very satisfying.
I’m really looking forward to ppsh vs ppsh because a lot of German soldiers in Stalingrad using captured PPSH.
I was looking forward to ORITA and FEDEROV, sadly they dosent come out , But it doesn’t matter,
Still stalingrad lists are very good
I’m hyped for Soviet weapons as well: counting vehicles, they AT LAST get the KV1 AND t34… BOTH. It’s more than I dared to hope, both vehicles attained the status of legend. They also get the beautiful Maxim heavy machine gun as engineer buildables.
True, those are not small arms, but exept perhaps the Fedorov (not here YET), Soviets already have the best in term of small arms across campaigns for their faction. Hardly gets better than ppsh41 (and I personally find people underestimate the pps42-43). Maybe Fedorov or maxim light mg, or even a version of the rpd might appear in future lvls thought
The lack of the box mag PPSh despite being historically available on Stalingrad itself makes me scratch my head why they choose the PPD-34 over box mag PPSh alongside the lack of the PPD-40 on any of the levels.
