I main tanks in this game and I can’t help but feel like the HE rounds are extremely lacking in the damage department. I practically have to hit enemies dead on or I don’t get the kill. If there are any devs who see this please give HE rounds a buff. I practically have to make the tank do backflips in order to avoid infantry spamming me with tnt charges.
They dont need a buff. If they get buffed, its gonna be extremely op.
Tanks can already sit out in grey zone and spam HE at objectives, etc. Easy >100 kill racking.
Mmm depends on the gun Caliber You know? A 50mm is not going to have the same effect as 75mm
Also sometimes the he are a little bit buggy but most of the time they proyectiles don’t do massive damage because You shoot them in a not favorable position
you have to realize 1 scaling is geometric
a 50mm shell would have like four time the fill of a 25mm even if the same caliber (caliber is width as well as length of the shell)
add into that shell thickness does not scale so a 75mm shell is not much thicker than a 50mm
also you have to consider
how open is the area of the shell explosion
terrain is it stone or dirt or grass
any walls or uneven terrain
most kills are probably shrapnel kills look at how concussion grenade were phased out in favor of shrapnel grenades
Heat shells always feel more consistent i can spam single obstacle/wall and kill 2-5 people each shot. That’s why Pz3N is the best BR2 tank in a game.
