Smokes use is heavily hampered by the fact there are enemy tanks able to just shell the limited amount thrown, in those scenarios its almost necessary to instead deluge the point in smoke, I had no radio ops either, since I was grinding squads .
But yeah completely agree smoke always has a use, though in this case for it to work there needed to be far more, not to mention getting to the point was possible, it was more holding the point for any meaningful time.
Its simply too treacherous to climb the hillslopes normally, like the one time I did get up, I lost 80% of my squad, engineer included making it an ultimately fruitless operation. Thought what I will say a major failing of the team was to not build a single AA gun to just hard counter the enemy CAS which was belting any tanks.
As for throwing impact nades into enemy spawns, 100m+ (at best) isnt exactly ideal, plus you dont have any other great options, mortars are too niche to justify over other squads even if they are very fun, though I will 100% be using a mortar squad for BR3 soviets now with the RMN 50 (ik you dont need to use mortars for them, but I want to at least semi larp.) Not to mention so what you squad wipe someone using a grenade in their spawn, all it means is that 5 seconds later that they spawn again with another full squad with full ammo.
Then you can try asking your teammates to use smoke too
Maybe they don’t necessarily have it but there’s always a chance
Usually I only have 1 anti-tank or engineer in action
Because it is always easy to be discovered when a group of people acts
Usually I climb on the edges of the map and in areas full of cover.
I think you should have the opportunity to keep the throwing distance within 70 meters
Make more use of the woods to move around or something
Unless your teammates are so incompetent that they can’t help you share the pressure
Or your enemy is really good enough to suppress you all.
As long as my teammates aren’t stupid idiots with no IQ, I’m happy to use whatever soldiers I have to break into the gray zone and launch a suicide attack to destroy anything I can.
The cooldown time of the respawn point is 5 seconds
But the player’s personal respawn time is about 10 to 15 seconds
Mortars are a tactical support option in addition to communications
They are still valuable in open terrain
certainly
Sometimes it may be necessary to make some ballistic corrections based on experience to better hit the target.
I think there is some confusion here, this all works if your not assaulting up the slopes of the D-Day map, Normandy is a great map, D-Day itself really isnt.
There are no areas of cover to go up the hill in any timely manner, there are no woods to flank through, nor can you get within 70m of the enemies spawn to spawn impact nades??? I presume that you use the throwing ability upgrades for your soldiers for them to be thrown that far?.
Mortars are easy as shit to aim, mark and fire, all you need to do. But you wanna know what the D-Day map has pretty much none of? Open terrain for the defenders, at best you will be picking up the odd kills with a strategy like that.
As for spawning squads, Ive spawned squads in under 5 seconds, Ive given up trying to understand why or how. And even if it does take you 15 seconds to spawn a squad somehow, that still doesnt affect my point.
In my opinion, as long as they are used properly, these terrains should not be too difficult for the attacker (as long as teammates are not idiots)
Each of my soldiers has full throwing skills
In areas with severe height differences, mortars may land in the wrong place.
I think this has something to do with the reply error caused by Google Translate
In short
As long as you can drop the bomb on the respawn point, you can solve the respawn point.
The point is to destroy the rebirth point
Ah ha, I see, you were talking about rallies, Im talking about their default spawn point. Yeah destroying forward rallies is fine, though unless you have paratroopers is quite hard to infiltrate those rear sections, that or you have to spend too long in a match to detour and go around and climb up weird spots on the hills.
Side related there, I would love a longer game mode version where matches might last an hour instead, just so you can have the space and time to detour and move tactically rather than with a fire up your ass.
as far as i know
With 15% acceleration skills
Running to the side and establishing a respawn point is usually around 90 seconds
I guess it shouldn’t be too long
After all, the results you get by spending your time are definitely more effective than being a suicide infantry who is killed 30 seconds after respawning.
