I think the Battle of Moscow AVS versus ZH29 is unreasonable
There is no problem with ppsh. Since its difference is not much compared to PPD, many players will use PPD instead of PPSH before getting Fedorov.
But ZH29 really can’t beat AVS
After the tank upgrade where certain shells/calibres started responding better and less slope effectiveness, its pretty good. Certainly in comparison to before.
I’ve seen this claim made by someone else and he only received insults… But yes, the Soviets are above the Germans in everything… But don’t be surprised, the developers are Russian.
Yes, I maxed three campaigns. I am not new to this game and ALMOST always finish with a minimum of 4000 point. My personal best was 296 kills and 15.000+ points. I am not that bad… I would say 90% 1st or 2nd place in my team.
Yes, I used AP in my Flakpanzer. I played WarThunder for many years and know how to aim and how ammunition works. Yesterday I faced a T28 and could NOT penetrate his side armor (just one shell went throug and killed one crew member). Thats all…
It is totally fine for me to lose a game. I dont need 85% win rate, but sometimes it is really BS at its finest. Latest one: I sneaked in a building with my ZH29 and faced an enemy with a Mosin. We were ONE meter apart. I shot 3-4 times (yes, on his chest), I EVEN SAW BLOOD - and he one shots me. No hit marker, just nothing. This hapened so many fcking times and is game breaking. Should I tell the story when I entered a house armed with a MkB42H?
Panzer 4 F2 HE: Nevermind, I banned this vehicle because this HE just sucks (compared to the T34 HE-round) while the Pz4 F1 HE-round is way better. When I face a T34 I just need some luck or a chance to hit his turret.
As I said I dont want 99% win rate, just a fair fight … there really were “strange” engagements I had the last months. But I guess there is no bias - just some “very unlucky phenomenons”.
After alot of complaining, I feel like the Panther tank finally got its almost non existing post pen damage VS T34s fixed.
Panzer IV F2 - J still only shoot with blanks.
To be fair tho, the German tank doctrine “after they encountered T34s KVs and Matilda tanks” had a big focus on high velocity anti tank armament, a tanks most important attribute after 42 was being able to defeat all possible armored targets, the Allies on the other hand always had fire support first in their mind. As a result both Shermans and T34s had better anti infantry and anti emplacement capabilities. You can’t exceed in both anti tank and support role. Just look at the combat reports of Panther and Jagdpanzer IV - absolute supperior in direct tank to tank combat against “basically” all the allied armor - but terrible overall combat effectiveness because those were complete trash in infantry support.
