Is Enlisted is an infantry game?

I do given the sheer number of weapons and Infantry classes put into the game. The design of many of the maps and the variety of ways for infantry to kill infantry and vehicles. I have just found out my opinion is not the only one in the game.

While clearly it is not world of tanks it is a mixed combat game skewing towards infantry. If anyone has another view i am happy to hear it as i just got into a huffle with a pro plane player.

nah. Its combined arms. But vehicles have specific roles, where as infantry can do them all

It would be funny to see how many people actually spawned in infantry if there were no vehicle caps…

that would interesting to see the results

No, it isn’t. As you can simply can’t create lineup without vehicle.

I dare to say that Enlisted is not always a combined arms game - simply because there are maps which make vehicles useless.

Like what is a pilot supposed to do at the Moscow Manor when playing conquest? 90 % of the battles are indoors.

Infantry gameplay is the core of the game.

yes, its an infantry focused games with vehicles in addition to create more realistic ww2 battles.
ww2 games without vehicles are ahistorical af, as they lack most dynamics/interactions on a real battlefield.

Lmao, im the “pro plane player.” Flattered, and true if I say so myself. That said, yeah, its a combined arms game, it was never meant to skew in favor of infantry and have vehicles be only an afterthought like you suggested. The game has an advanced damage model for these vehicles based on war thunder and multiple onboard crew simulated, it doesn’t allow third person to ground these vehicles in reality and it has a massive emphasis on their use in rounds as it should. Combined arms battlefields are far more realistic and I think its best to accept that we flyers and tankers are here to stay and do in fact deserve content added for us like my post about airfields and attackers/fighters suggested. I mean we have literally paid cash for some of these things and spent hours grinding to get through that part of the tree. It would be some kind of consumable single use ability like an arty strike if it wasn’t intended to be a main part of the gameplay.

It is Infantry-focused, with tanks and planes as secondary assets. Of course, you can make them primary assets by paying for a premium account.

It’s not wrong to stay on the vehicle all the time, but if he doesn’t care about winning or losing and can’t support other teammates well, then he will definitely be a detestable guy.
In many cases, more infantry players are needed, and no one should stay in the vehicle to evade tasks.

Honestly motorcycles squads are abandoned rn, might as well change them into apc squad as well.

If a tank/plane player is soo good, he can effectively shut down the enemy’s effort to PTFO, there is nothing inherently wrong with it.

3rd persons view would be op in this game, rn the limited fps view of vehicle view can really give infantry a fighting chance.

then why can’t tanks and planes take objective or detonate bombs you know the goal of most missions.

well…it wouldnt be the first time I have captured or armed as a tanker or pilot!

Tankers make a good assaulter squad with transport :stuck_out_tongue:

at which point you are infantry

well no one is ever the tank or the plane…just infantry mounted or dismounted…:stuck_out_tongue:

just teasing.

Because it kind of matches how infantry works irl.
It’s not really the job of tanks and planes to capture individual buildings.

Anyone who doesn’t play both vehicles and infantry is simply at a disadvantage. The best players do play everything. And they know when it’s advantageous to take vehicles and when it’s advantageous to take infantry.

If someone says, Enlisted is an infantry game, they simply don’t respect what Enlisted really is. And he’s just using this fictional and fabricated point to justify some of his copium positions.

There are plenty of games where you literally play only as infantry and nothing else. Those are infantry games to me.
Enlisted to me is a WW2 sandbox that consists of more than just infantry elements.

I never said it was just an infantry game just primarily, enlisted and other games like cod have daggers, axes, picks, bats and other melee weapons but they are still shooters. Also explosives like grenades and c4 but are still shooters. Yes vehicle can be important but must be balanced so they do not over-power infantry. While you must include a vehicle you can still win a game without using it, you cannot win a match without using infantry.
