lately, while flying there seems to be some kind of “automatic” controls, it feels like the planes keep wanting to right them selves or some i cant even go into a dive despite holding the stick forward… when i get close to the ground or try doing evasive maneuvers it tries to push me away from the ground, and theres some random pauses, at first i thaught it was network, but i have been looking for the symbols when it happens and nothing, and it happens every time i fly, its making it tough to aim at targets. is there a setting for flying assist im not seeing? for the record this has only been this bad recently maybe three or four updates ago.
I haven’t noticed anything myself now, do you use rudder and alerion control or do you just use your mouse?
im on ps4 so i use controller. left stick for aileron and elevator, right for the rudder, i used this same controls for a while, on both direct controls and screen joystick control.
that is an old bug with the hurricane - i haven’t experienced it with any other plane.
It’s not a bug.
It’s a feature that actually exists.
no, there is no stuka-like dive recovery in the hurricane that will override pilot input at 500kmh.
why do you think it actually exists?
there is one geman plane that seems to have no control and another allies plane… the Bf 109 E-7/u2 and the f2a-3 buffalo… but i was talking about the flying in general since i tested it out between planes.
Thats an odd issue then, I wouldnt know anything more about it since I dont get it per say. The last guess I have is there is an “instructor” module turned on somewhere for you kind of like in WT?
I’m looking, but i don’t see it as an option, other than a button configuration to “toggle instructor” but its blank… i will try assign it and see if toggling it will change anything.
well sure say if that works, otherwise I guess youll have to ask a helper, they might be able to help more.
no, it didn’t change much, it behaved similarly , but more aggressive, it would , what i mentioned is it was more of the game detecting a building or ground and pushing me up occasionally. the simplest way i can think to put it is: it seems there’s an assistance. its only something thats been in the last two or three weeks. before that it was fine.
I havent noticed it at all, but most of my matches the plane slot has been hogged by some console player doing nothing so maybe I just didnt notice it then.
perhaps. i still do quite well in the planes, it just makes things harder than to get targets like i used to,. But i don’t do cross-play, to avoid modded players, since i’m uneducated on the kind of mods available to PC players… so i can’t comment on that.
We dont even get cross play as an option, we are forced into it, the modded stuff is all on a separate “browser”, the standard affair is the same as yourselves now.
but we still have incompetent players, so, its not an upside to having the oiption
option
It is not that your plane is overriding the controls for you but in the early models the hurricane used fabric for the wings, which would deform on a dive and create the upward pull.
first, we have the mkII which had ditched fabric in wings for metal
second, this only happens with instructor mode. it’s not a matter of simulation of lift, it is instructor behavior.
third, makes little sense that it would happen at 500kmh which is not that fast. also it is very drastic in this game.
someone commented that it was present in an old version (wt) and they used it here for some reason, while it was corrected in wt, but this is just a rumor.**
**edit: seems myrm1don know better about its status in wt
Its not a feature. It doesnt happen in warthunder and it didnt use to happen in Enlisted
Only the mk1 hurricanes with fabric wings had an issue when going too fast.
The hurricanes in Enlisted are Mk IIs and IVs
does enlisted even have instructor mode? or are you talking about WT?
