anytime I use the IS-2 it tends to get one shot even by lower tier german tanks and god forbid you miss your first shot or more likely it seems to just bounce off the enemy tank then 99% of the time I die. Please give it a buff as it seems by far the weakest tier 5 tank

No, weakest tank is the Pershing. IS-2 1944 is like invincible armor except lower part. Its 122mm wdym it bounces from tiger 2s? Tiger 2s armor is around 180 and you have more than firepower to 1 shot it on the turret cheek and you can get 22 kills with it even in most berlin maps.

GE tanks are dangerous specialy the panzer IV J to above because his cannon can actually Even the br5 tanks the only disaventage is hisbsad armor but an experienced tankers can actually turn this Machine into a monster
If You play as a IS-2 You must be hidding most of the time because your armor is not the Best but your cannon is litterally āpure communismā so your Best strategy considering that 80% You Will be playing in Berlin You Will need to get a decent spot to angle and then shoot to the enemy face or play to the cat and the mouse ( shot, hide,shot,hideā¦ repeat)

True Only experienced tankers or AT enjoyers can kill this machine besides that angling your tiger can bounce most of the shots : ) this works also with is-2 but is better apply the strategy (shot and hideā¦)
No every tank is balanced, a death when in a tank fight is meant to show you you need to more carefully place your shots. Thereās a reason why you can view enemy tanks, They also recommend you view these tanks so you know the best places to attack to take the tank out. A good tanker never exposes his weakness to an enemy tank, while thatās not always possible Itās possible at least 90% of the time. A good tanker also knows his environments and the best place to stop for a attack, never stay in one place too long.
I will agree that we need the M26 super perishing. Which should have been out by now It was announced almost a year ago. But buffs to the IS2 will likely throw things out of balance, Donāt engage if you know you wonāt kill them in one shot or canāt make a follow-up shot before they take you down. Even if you donāt kill them outright you can still cripple them by hitting them in the turret or tracks among other places, if you can disable their ability to attack you then theyāre forced to exit the tank for repairs making any tanker in any tank in the entire game the easiest of pickings.
I recommend you analyze the enemy tanks weaknesses, you can take a tank out for testing within the practice range. Thatās going to have every tank in the game, pair that with an x-ray and armor check for vital parts like ammo, engine, fuel tanks, etc.
Iāve easily taken numerous tiger 2 H tanks out with the IS-1 They easily die to any 85 mm gun. Itās all about where you shoot.

Problem is people know where to shoot the ISās. LFP or cupola usually. Shoot for some German tanks I think they can even go through the UFP if hit just right
IS-2 is bad if compare with T-34 100.

Match from yesterday
From 7:30, I got a bunch of kills, OHKed a Tiger II H, destroyed an AT gun and a Panzer IV J.
Got taken out by a sneaky dude with TNT.
IS-2 is an amazing tank, itās extremely mobile for a heavy tank which is why most people fail to exploit it. Most people try to use it like you would a King Tiger or KV-1, sitting in one place which is the worst you can do as you just let the enemy lock on your weakspot. Instead you need to reverse or go forward in a slightly angled way to prevent the enemy from locking on your weakspot only stopping to fire your cannon.
The only weakness I found is 122mm is not as good at infantry support due to the long reload which could be solved by adding IS-2-100 but IS-2 as it is definitely the best tank hunter in the game and doesnāt need a buff.

Maybe he is confusing the P with the H, the Porsche turret (or pre-production for nerds) can be penetrated by the 85mm.

IS 2 isnāt terrible, the long reload sucks tho, because warthunder physics will make your shot go āpoofā from time to time - which gets you killed.

Br is flawed, it only takes into consideration canon, and armour.
Not turret, speed, defensive lmg, open or closed top.
Itās my opinion pretty much all TDs should be 1 br lower than they are already. Seriously the only TD that is fearsome is the Semonvente for crying out loud. Because itās br1.
Maybe save the Dicker that already got placed to an acceptable br.
