This is a bit complain; I am trying to level up tanker 3 squad and only good tank(or so I THOUGHT) available for it is gold order IS2 I bought months ago, and for the last 2-3 days Im suffering from this decision, no matter green or red or yellow reticle panthers-tigers keep surviving from shots and somehow every german tank which includes PZ 4J 1 shots IS2, what is wrong with this tank? if single 122mm struggles against panther and gets 1 shot even by pz4j then whats the point of this tank? even HE shell is not doing great. literally feels like playing pz4j in berlin pre merge… I know some will say play t34-100 and I will do that but remember I am trying to lvl up Tanker 3 squad with IS.

well usually the trick is to hit German tanks at the turret - it does one hit kill even Tiger II, but for some reason 80mm sloped from panthers and such does bounce quite often which is kinda ridiculous in comparison

thats what Im trying actually but it only works 1 or 2 time out of 5 encounters

What’s wrong with the IS-2? A lot of things. First of all, the armor. The Tiger 2 penetrates the IS 2 in the center of the frontal armor, not even the driver’s mechanic’s hatch. And IS 2 has to aim the cheeks of the turret at Tiger 2. Secondly, Tiger 2 reloads much faster than IS 2, and in our game it is important. Thirdly, IS-2 shells are broken in many ways, they often have “War Thunder Moment”, or how russian sometimes called this - “Aboba”. That is, the projectile simply loses all the damage without any special reasons. I say all this as a person who plays on this tank and completely upgraded it. So that you have no doubts, here is a screenshot of my IS-2.

That’s why you use t-34-100
Not everyone has a T-34-100, many didn’t make it to the event with a T-34-100 and many were unlucky enough not to get a T-34-100 in the veteran’s boxes

Lets ignore t34-100 is event tank and other one is TT so, teach me how to use t34-100 in Tanker 3 squad and I can happily change to it

The HE aimed at the turret can also kill them through the roof armor.
T34 100 has a very limited amount of ammo, making it rather bad at anti infantry - its HE gets depleted fast.
T34 100 is basically a dedicated tank hunter, not so much a frontline tank
Im destroying pz4js with HE, Tried it on panther cupola and KT’s Front MG but didnt work, don’t know if it was a pixel mistake or I hoped more
Try shooting the lower half of the turret with the HE. Even if it is red it will go through the roof nearby.

I usually one shot all enemy tanks using it, where are you aiming?
