Ironsight for 9th industry regiment is very bad

I held off on buying this , but with the D.Day event, i thought why not. And now I have buyers remorse. Not only does the ironsight obscure things in your peripheral vision, but the rifle kicks very highly. overasll a very unpleasant exerience and not I want to play.

I presume you’re referring to the Browning M1918 Maching Gun?

The sights depicted in game are very accurate to references I could find on the internet so idk what you expected from the gun other than it to be realistic.

I’ts just an observation, I’m not a history geek, if its historically accurate, well thats’s nice, but its shit to use, probably something the troops thought also back in the day. I would appreciate the firm showing ironsights when you look at these packs. I can work around it, and the build speed is nice but it’s a fucking horrible ironsight.

The sights of the M1918 BAR are based on the M1917 rifle (most-used rifle by US in WWI), which is an American take on the British P14 rifle but rechambered from .303 to .30-06, except the front sight is thicker than on the M1917 which I can confirm from personal first-hand experience in having owned one. I find them to work well in-game, maybe IRL the M1918 sights perform better than the depiction in the videogame since the rear sight would blur out a little, try giving it some time. The sights should be the same between M1918 and M1918A1, and I use the M1918A1 fairly frequently. I’d say try tinkering with it. I certainly wouldn’t call the sights ‘fucking horrible.’ I actually think that I find the No.4 iron sights to obscure more than the M1918 BAR, and I do find that the sights depicted in the game compared to using actual No.4 sights IRL to be disappointing.

No.4 Lee Enfield, ladder sight on left for ranged shooting, ‘battle sight’ on the right.

Can’t find an image online depicting the No.4 sights, and haven’t yet bothered figuring out how to conveniently take screenshots or where they’d be stored on my computer or Gaijin account.

Oh, and to be clear, those aren’t photos that I’ve personally taken. I have taken photos of sight pictures before, but those aren’t mine, I found those online, and I think they’re VERY well taken. It can be a difficult thing to manage, taking photographs of sight pictures. I adore the No.4 Lee Enfield.

Another obsevation, the German Premium Engineers rifle harldy kicks at all, wheras this one kicks horribly, maybe it has more stopping power IDK. I’m all for having things ‘different’ in a game. Don’t take my ramblings as a screaming ‘make it all the same’ cos its not. But I have found my experience with it to be frustrating, but I will percivere, I’m sure there is a carrot in there somewhere.

If you mean the BAR, It has a lotta kick

To clarify I’m talking about the M1941. The M1918 is epic and I love it, i think we have crossed wires here.

Looks like the 60th is for the M1918 BAR and the 9th is for the M1941.

I myself want the M1941 Johnson but I find it to be WAY too expensive, even with the 15% off. Can’t say that I can rightfully comment on the matter of the M1941.

Seems like this is where we went off-course, no offense meant to RSG.

All the same, would have been helpful for Rigg3r to actually name the firearm he has grievances about. People tend to be more familiar with firearms and firearm names than squads and what Enlisted firearms they come with.

I disagree, you meant the US Engineer Squad right? I top score with it very well and most of the time I get the best Engineer. Imo its actually better than the German Premium Engineer Gun. I was able to get more kills with this gun.

Wait until you get the M2 Carbine, now that sight is near unaimable.

With the Engineer i can aim with it, its not a problem. The sight is actually good.

Now look on M2 Carbine. I cannot aim for shit with this

Look i got the best Engineer and was the MVP of the Match

Well that was my initial impression, maybe it will change over time, I hope so it’s obviously working well.
