Investment in AI or advertising

I think I’m not wrong in saying that 60-80% of those who play enlisted are bots depending on the hour.

The content creators of this game are usually few and have very low visibility.

I think it’s time for the devs to make a decision, either invest in AI so that at least the games are bearable, or invest more in advertising.

I’m not interested in being given a table of active players, or in being told how many new players join each day, if every time I enter to play 5 have 20 kills and the rest of the team doesn’t even reach 5.

Let’s be honest, Enlisted is not a marvel, it is not a complicated game, you don’t need to have an IQ above average to understand what you have to do, even so I can’t explain the horrors I see in each game. I can only think of 2 explanations:

1.- They are bots worse than those in Call of Duty 1
2.- They removed 70% of the players’ brains.

It’s an amazing game, but it’s a pain to play, not to mention at a competitive level, you can’t even take it easy when playing because it’s so annoying to see your teammates, and sometimes even your opponent.

I have seen a graveyard of vehicles at the exit because they are not even capable of taking another route when they see that the enemy is destroying everything that comes out of there… And even so, they continue to leave through the same damn place and then they block the entire exit area with destroyed vehicles.

And that’s not even the worst part, the worst part is that the devs do absolutely nothing… If I see that my players are retarded enough to be able to look for another escape route, I would do one of 2.

1.- I make the destroyed vehicles disappear over time.
2.- I add more exit routes.

But instead they seem to be unaware of anything in their game.

In the end we have a game that has been in beta for 4 years and is not progressing at all, are they going to do something?

I wholeheartedly agree on adding second vehicle exit lane. I am guilty of camping their exit lane precisely because they have one easily reachable exit lane on most maps.

It’s easy to tell. Bots will unconditionally rush to next capzone. They will stop when they detect danger, but they don’t flank or anything.

They are bots worse than those in Call of Duty 1

I will get laughed at, but the bots are not bad at all. What they are bad at is reaction time, reacting to enemy fast. (Bots also can’t fire automatic weapons in full auto mode)

Skill issue. Except Berlin, where you can get stuck at spawn thanks to fantastic mission design.

1.- I make the destroyed vehicles disappear over time.

Afaik there is a wreck remover around tank spawns, but it does seem like it’s broken.

2.- I add more exit routes.

Problem with most mission’s design. Too linear and small.

I think bot AI is actually in a really good place. Complete AI players will never be suitable for being more than cannon fodder though, and making them somehow powerful enough to be a threat will just cause complaints.
As for matches, most matches are absolutely not bot matches. The players are just that bad.

Agree with all except this :point_up:t3: destroyed tanks = natural coverture

Knowing that they are people only makes me more uneasy.

Good coverage in the middle of the only bridge.

You are seeing a problem where others see opportunities, that M13 works as cover for other tanks, not against infantry, you can push it or simply pass on the left if you want to go forward.

best part of those bridges is you dont have to drive on them, you can go either side or flank the beach or up the hill

I’ve said it many times, the Enlisted BOTS are the WORST game BOTS I have EVER had in a video game. IMOP if this is the best Dark Force can come up with, their AI programmer should be fired.

I Have pointed out their issues for a long time, yet Dark Force apparently could care less, but let me list my beef’s with them.

  1. Unless you walk or crawl across the map, not one can keep up with you, as I and I am sure most players SPRINT. Why can’t they sprint when YOU sprint? Should seem pretty basic to me.
  2. It doesn’t matter when you tell them to stay, half of them don’t stay where you instructed them and they go stand outside with a big target on their back.
  3. They constantly move around like addicted crack addicts looking to get their next fix.
  4. They crawl or stand in front of you when you are trying to engage the enemy, and since you can’t shoot through them, they and you DIE.
  5. No matter what I do with them, 3/4 of them die just going from one spot to the next. Hell, I have left them in the basement of a bunker and one or two will find a way to die, and ALWAYS my radioman dies first, ALWAYS! Unless I happen to be the radioman,

So, in conclusion, if I were a DF employee I would be ashamed at the level of BOTS they put in this game, as not a one of them has the common sense or IQ of a three year old. But Dark Force either doesn’t care, doesn’t have a competent AI programmer or doesn’t have the tech to change it.

Japan has very ugly maps, with lots of objects in the way, and capture points are usually in giant pits, so that m13 was just in the middle.

In that example, yes. But Japan has many parts where the bridge is the only way to cross to the other side.

It goes without saying that the maps in this game are smaller than a monitor, so if a road is blocked you only have to get out of the tank and go on foot.

Needless to say, pushing a tank is often counterproductive… You don’t see anything but the enemy sees you pushing an object, not to mention that this game’s collision system combined with its physics are extremely horrible.

Japan is great for tanks, whether its camping a point 2 points away or just HE’ing from the greyzone. you can also cross most rivers without needing a bridge, i have checked
