playing as the US in Normandy is like a disabled child playing basketball against LeBron.
As the Axis has 3 MG styles the Brenda Mod. 30 which hit like a truck and have clear sights and less recoil allowing more consistent shots to be landed the downside is that it has a 20 round magazine.
The MG 34 and MG 42 know what’s fun trying to get to an objective just to get mowed down by one of these guns by someone laying in the bushes a mile away clean sights 50 round magazines high rate of fire and they still hit like a truck they have easy recoil to control in close to mid-range and yet they can snipe better than any sniper in the game is unplayable when that’s most of the games you play the.
The US has 3 MG styles the Bren Mk ll which has the worst recoil I have ever seen in any game and you can’t see shit the sights are so big that even if you can put the bipod down you can’t see anything good luck hitting what you can’t see with those sights and that recoil the DPS doesn’t help if you can’t see anything.
The BAR is an amazing weapon that has the down sight of recoil and a 20 round magazine but it’s just not enough for the US to have an even game.
I didn’t realize this was another daily thread topic

The US tanks are better at supporting infantry than the German ones so you need to use that to your advantage. Also like the other poster said, I’m level 23 US and level 25 Germany and can attest to the fact that US teams are just better in general than German teams on average. Getting to level 23 as the US didn’t have nearly as much suffering as it did for Germany.

Both nations have things that they do better and worse than the other nation. Its not one sided

But I just lost a game as the US?
If Germany not OP then why me lose game.

I find the balance to be fine, each side has things that are better than the other side. When you spawn in, use a scoped weapon and shoot the MGs so the Germans cannot use them, build rally points closer to the objective.

“Normandy is unbalanced”; writes about one weapon class.
Please be more precise next time.
Actually you complain mostly about Bren, so this topic name is way too exaggerated.
yea the bren is much more efficient as a hipfire run in and clear an entire house gun the sights are atrocious
and the bar im surprised to learn it has only 20 rounds o.o’ they use to carry boxes on those with 100 rounds in em or tombstone cans with 200-250 rounds if you were a stationary gunner

In my opinion, (semi) auto rifles are better than pretty much anything else in the campaign. All you really need is the ability to throw one shot damage out at basically as fast as you can hit LMB to succeed. Usually an MG camper will either be close enough to frag or exposed to too many angles to reliably stop you from popping up somewhere they aren’t looking and dropping them with a Garand shot.
If MG campers are your main gripe, I would suggest playing picket more often. Having someone that pulls flank security and basically spends the game getting rid of infantry in power positions is often a game changer for the Allies. If you don’t mind being disgusting, I would recommend the radio operator squad, and grabbing a sniper/rifleman, sending the squad to sit 10 meters behind you, and flush out campers with the element of surprise while dropping steel rain behind the obj every half minute.

I assume you’re thinking of the M2 since you’ve got picks of .50 BMG cans in the post. The M2 is a crew served weapon that is currently only seen on the Shermans and on planes. No infantry have them. The BAR, on the other hand is an automatic rifle that is basically just a bulky .30-06 slinger.
its just easier to find images of 50. cal cans but they did make cans for 30-06…

well that and as shown in this image the capacity per can of 30-06 was far greater then 50. cal
Why would they carry loose rounds? They’d have magazines in pouches carried by the gunner and assistant gunner
if your hunkering down behind something or your the main gunner your usually carrying a can as the first mag better to be able to burn through the equivalent of 5 mags without reloading when you need to provide covering fire for the rest of your team… like seriously you don’t wanna have to reload every 10 seconds in a situation like that
this would be the “balance” you seek. Why the 1919A6 isnt in the game as the last unlock for the gunners I’m not sure but I would bet it will be
There are no cans for BARs. They were only magazine fed with 20 rounds.

I wonder if they wll implement it with a belt hanging like that (I don’t see any other option).
If so, I’m curious if it will affect malfunction chance (when / if it will be implemented for MGs).
true they weren’t standard issue but belt fed browning BAR’s did exist

Not for the Americans they did not exist. The one you posted is Swedish. Some countries did experiment but this isnt call of duty. We dont need fake shit the browning 1919A6 is historical and would be fine
You would have to because there was no way to attach the belt under the gun or do like we did in Afghanistan and wrap the belt around the gun and unroll it when you lay down
americans did it too.
lol it was about the time when everyone was thinking god dam this gun is great but i wish it had more ammo so i wouldn’t have to reload as much
As far as I know non were adopted to army. Maybe they can be in the game as a premium but I hope that we won’t end up with filling the game with experimental designs.
