I think this would be huge to the player base and increase activity majorly! It would give players a reason to be here other than just letting off steam.
At the moment only 3 friends can play together. You would have to make alot larger of a group so players could invite their clan mates. So maybe make clans like able to if they have 100 online be able to invite literally all the 100. So it’s a full blown battle between each other.
Give out Ranks/ Titles/ etc. Make the clan members and clan leaders feel special if they do good!
Also introduce maybe a ranking system from Recruit - 6 Star General.
Example, Recruit, Private, Private First Class, Cpl, Sgt, SSgt, 1st Sgt, Sgt Maj, Lt, Maj, General etc. Gives players another I need to play incentive.
While the principle itself is not necessarily a bad idea, the very name or concept of “clan” in WW2 FPS game sounds out of place.
Also I don´t think that participation in 100v100 kind of battles is even feasible in terms of hardware side of things but custom battles for members of certain group might not be a bad idea either.
But I do agree, that community might eventually need something to group them together or allow them to play and communicate with more like-minded people and party of 4 members alone is probably not enough.
This game most likely isn’t intended to have lobbies with more than 50 players.
Also, you can play with up to 4 players at the same time.
We already have soldier ranks, if that is what you are referring to.
If you mean clan ranks, if clans were ever added it would obviously be accompanied by clan ranks.
Hope in later stage of this game, their “new” types of gamemodes can include larger scale of combat. For moscow, this is pretty certain that large part of the maps is left without being used.
Also some more realistic, or customized gamemodes.
That’s not the first time that approach to maps has been taken before. I’m sure it has a lot to do with optimization, but it gives room for the devs to create new maps, improve the existing ones, and give something to not ruin immersion for pilots.
Most of the map is still low-detail copy-paste after all.
Clan warfare can be done perfectly as Enlisted currently provides, using password protected (or not) custom maps.
I just wish Enlisted had a naming scheme that allows you to have the clan Tag without having to change the name (like other games have, for example ETQW “Enemy Territory Quake Wars”).
