Ok, I can make clown of myself one more time.
Name: Wojtek (full Wojciech). It’s a slavic name so there is no english translation, the closest thing is Voyo. Also Wojciech can be translated as “the one that enjoys war” and imo it suits me.
Country: Poland (surprise)
Age: kid (18+ so don’t ban me plz)
Hobby: History of warfare, I know a bit about time period between ancient Rome and WW2 although my knowledge lacks quality and has many holes imo. And engineering in general (also lacks quality). Also I’m quite excited about world building. I like to see how amazing ideas other people have and how plasuable / well thought they are (again, nothing specyfic). I’m also quite interested in guns and white weapon, although nothing serious except single events.
Why enl: it seemed to be the game I always wanted, quite realistic mechanically (but not sim) ww2 shooter and most importantly, with bot squads. Although recently I have some doubts about my motives.
If you have a cottage in mountain you could just leave it here and put a sleeping bag in there, and watch the stars inside it during the night
sounds romantic
i’ll just have to get used to the cold of now days
oh no
I might as well go
Hi! My name is (Mexican name that starts with an F), I’m known online as Wolfy, It’s not because I’m a furry, it’s cause of this plush I’ve had since the third grade of the same name.
I first tried Enlisted back during the Moscow test, I thought it was meh back then. But when the Berlin test arrived I fell in love with it.
Whelp there you go
helo there nice to meet you,
my name rei same as my ingame name, indonesia, 22, hobby study and work, same as you ww2 enthusiast, have a nice day sir
now thats a good collection you have on your desk!
well done wolfy-san!
Hi, ok here you go:
Name: Widow (real name classified)
Country: UK
Age 49
Job: IT Project manager - wfh alot since COVID, love techy things
Why Enlisted: Enlisted has the great gun play, lots of planes and tanks and I love the atmosphere, it is WW2 without the total milsim mentality, looking forwards to more premium and I’m sure our classics will be put in game, I really like the community as a whole, a few exceptions of course.
Always had a thing for WW2, since a child been fascinated (step dad glider pilot in Arnhem), could well have been a battle of Britain spitfire pilot in a past life as I really seem to love flying and shooting down planes and dogfighting, can’t explain it.
Name: Victor, but I like shorter Vic
Born and raised in Russia, Siberia.
Moved to the States at 15, and lived all over California, now living in Seattle
Software engie, recently worked for Microsoft, on Azure, but I’ve been showing off everywhere lol so I’m sure most know already. Now, browsing for next opportunity. Was thinking of going into machine learning and AI - neat subject. But probably might go into game development instead - I play tons of video games anyway. And my uncle owns a fancy game dev company already. So yeah.
Getting TOO old, dang it! But almost any age is too old, past 20
Hobbies? Hmm, lots. Smoke weed occasionally, friends, partying, good company, good laugh. Don’t mind getting really drunk lol but don’t drink at all.
Why Enlisted? Best FPS on the market, and I love WW2 theme.
My own great-grandfather perished in that war - Missing in Action, Smolensk/Vyazma - Autumn/Winter 1941. Probably in one of the encirclements there, during steamroller of the Typhoon operation. Rest in Peace, dear grandpa! Infantry.
So this game hits me deep. And I’ve also read tons and tons of books on the subject.
Good questions, and I’ve read most of the responses, nice to meet ya all
It’s also rather apparent that I’m also a filthy weaboo
UwU
Why not?
My name is Yaroslav or Iaroslav (Without a single idea how to do it correctly). At least I always thought that Iaroslav was more correct.
The country of vodka, bears, winter temperature -1500 degrees.
In general, I am your compatriot.Well, rather, he was for five years.Or 4?Well, I’m about your age.
History, geography, mathematics, games with the greatest freedom of action.Well, or good storylines.
Books, there is nothing better than books in the world.
Why not?xD
Enlisted better than H&G.Has the opportunity to become the best free shooter and dream game. That’s all.
But I think I’ll delete it before it becomes one.
Also, my grandfather is still alive, who survived the occupation of the Germans. He was almost taken to a concentration camp. And he happened to see those very evil and terrible Magyars who are really reptiles.
In general, these people will outlive us all.I think he’s in better shape than many young people.
Funny fact:
Soviet railway workers after the war (and maybe before)they wore a uniform similar to that of the SS.And one day they scared the Americans (or something like that). After that, their form was changed.
I must be the oldest here…
I am from Italy, I am 58, I always had history related hobbies: in my youth modelling of WW2 aircraft, later flight simulators (heck I played Microsoft FS 2.0 on a green monitor, I am really old! Then played for many years IL-2 Sturmovik and also contributed to it with several mods: maps, aircraft, gameplay), and also history writing.
I own a Carcano 91/38 and a Lee Enfield No.4 Mk1* (still unsure what the “*” stands for) but I never shot them. I shot the Garand and MG.42, though, in my military service, and my helmet was WW2 model.
Yes I am 58 and I still like playing.
Why Enlisted? Well I am mainly a flight simulator guy but I had played RO2 and Arma2 with my friends several years ago, so I saw Enlisted and thought “it’s free after all, why not?” and now here I am, having spent perhaps a hundred euros on it in few months
Just checking in are peoples game name the same as on Forum? I’ll look out for you, especially the flyers, I love a good dogfight, or know I’m going against an experienced tanker
Also, be good to know hours people play, Morning, Afternoons, evenings etc
I play most the time, the glories of WFH I guess, when I can, on most evening though, nice to meet you all anyways, feel free to add me.
Yes
