Introduce yourself to the community:

I don’t know if the start of the holiday season, or the really good mood, led me to create this topic. Whether it will pay off or will drown quickly not really matter at all. Maybe we’ll get to know each other somewhat as a personality, and it will be easier to communicate both in the forum and in the game itself and reduce toxicity.

Everything is very voluntary and everything is optional. For example:

Your name
Your country
How old are you
Hobbies?
Why Enlisted?

I will start with myself. My name is Romas. I am from Lithuania. I’m 35 years old. I am an actor, and a video producer, also a director. I currently work mostly outside of the filming site as a producer now. My hobbies are collecting WW2 German military (Kriegsmarine U-boats, and Kriegsmarine Küstenartillerie, coastal artillery). Also various military documents. I am a WW2 enthusiast and a historian of the German military side.

I think Enlisted is a great example of how a game can be made that combines both simulation and historical accuracy, along with an arcade style of play :).

Alright ill bite, except for the name part. Thats classified.

I’m first Generation Canadian. Both of my parents are from Germany and fled the East side years back.

Im not the youngest here thats for sure. Hit 40 a little ways back but I’m still in it when I can be.
History is one of my strong suits, but I am still reading and learning everyday. The internet is great, but flawed. We can still learn better from books IMO.
I was briefly with the CAF until a heart defect saw me medically discharged. That sucked for me, as my family had military history dating back to the formation of Germany as a country.
I’m an avid historical weapons collector, with quite a nice collection, stored off site from my house though. Guns and family are kept miles apart. Keeps my house safe and family safe.

I’ve worked everywhere in my life. And I’ve had a hand in a few games from the developer side of things (WG was my last stint, though I would love the chance to do it again someday).

I’m also a writer, poet, actor and volunteer in my community. I help people with social anxiety disorders in my off time (though Covid put a stop to that). My greatest pride is one gentleman years back who wouldn’t even leave his house. He had a rough life.
He now works 3 provinces away with a house car and more friends than even me. If I do nothing else in my life today, that will still have been enough.

I took to Enlisted because of my love of WW history and the fact that although they were forced to serve (my grandfather was originally a coal miner until late 42) my family was involved in both WW.

I really want to have this game become more, better, and stand the test of time, and I will do anything to get it there.

Also, shameless plug, but I also stream Enlisted.
Feel free to come by and say Hi.

Nice to meet you. It is interesting to have relatives who have seen and experienced the war with their own eyes. My grandfather, he lived through the whole war in Lithuania. From the first day it began, to the last. He saw a lot during the partisan period also. From my grandfather’s stories, I started to love the history of the war.

I might have age against me, but as my gameplay goes, I am right up there thankfully. Nice to meet you too.

mh, i wasn’t expecting this initiative, but why not.

well,

My name is Erika ( duh )
MA country is pizzaland
i’m [ Redacted ] years old.
hobbies? i guess i love listen to music live every normie, buy clothes, play my guitar, and play games.

Why enlisted?
this is quite a nice question.
i think someone said it a bit more appropriately:

:joy:
jokes aside, i think i’m still hooked up to enlisted because of a few friends, my own dedication, hopes for PVE content and for a better future  .

and that’s basically it.

i’m probably the most generic blank and bland person around here.
there isn’t much else to know.

Nice to meet Erika. We had a complicated relationship at the beginning, but through salt and pepper, there are bouquets of flowers :). Would you recommend a good pizza recipe for Christmas?

same here he very rarely talked about it but when he did you listened my grandfather survived as well and he couldn’t swim at all so when he beached at Normandy he almost drowned getting to the beach his friend saved him by dragging him to the beach i have collected some of his stuff including the book they gave to them during basic training and a map of d day he used with all the hedge hogs and mines and stuff on the map its really cool

no.

Morte Bianca

it means ( in italian ) White Death

which can be either:

  • common name for sudden infant death syndrome
  • fatal accident occurring at work
  • death that occurs at high altitudes
    or
    just a reference of the:
nickname of the Finnish sniper Simo Häyhä.

still have to see those.
( irony )

well, depends from your taste.

but i reccomend to make the Diavola Pizza
which it’s basically made of spicy salami.
and can be spiced up with extra chili pepper :smiling_imp:

but, that’s just me prefering exocit and basically everything that is spicy.

not reccomended if you don’t like it, or can’t stand it though.

but, you can always go for simpler yet tasteful “default” pizzas.

the ones with ham, potatoes, or even with normal wurstel / cheese.
