Instead of Creating NEW WEAPONS for SKINS - DO THIS!

A mock up of what this system could be so the game wouldn’t be inflated with possible future etchings and skins for weaponry. Imagine the bolt action wrapped skins not being a singular rifle but a skin you could apply on certain amounts of guns. One could complete challenges that progress further to unlock another available slot of the said skin. Just some suggesstions.

I prefer the way they are doing it now. I dont want people running around in full squads of gold engraved stg’s. skins should be kept at a minimum imo

The point of my post was to not inflate the game with millions of the same guns under the pretense of them being “new” guns - not giving them out willy nilly. If those challenges for such skins, those can just be in game events to earn like what the wraped scoped rifles were.

So less unique ones and rather have multiple of some skins?

Think they should have different skins on each condition to. 1 star the gun looks like sht, full star it looks shiny and pristine.

Good idea though youre presenting here

Some more mock ups for vehicles and already existing weapons…

The skins should still be limited, however I don’t see the issue of having a QOL change in order to condense the armory. I think it would be better to have another menu come up that shows what variations the player has, like OP suggested. I think this is also much needed for vehicles, as seen in the post above mine. If they player buys a premium skin that’s already maxed out, the skin should still be maxed out, but it should still be in the menu with the default variation that has whatever level the player has it at. Personally, I just hate the clutter, which is why I appreciated the whole bronze order rework, so I can get rid of excess weapons which are already separated by stars. It makes it easier to sort through as well if they have an extra menu to see specific weapons variations once selecting a weapon type.

You got exactly what I was laying down here and I thank you for it. Enlisted needs more polish on its UI design, and if my dumbass can make something decent in 10 minutes in photoshop as a mock up - imagine if you gave me the dev tools and a day to make the UI across the entire game better.

Keep the skins that already happened as a one and done. But for skins going forward, make it so when events happen - a weapon skin(s) would be added into the event. There would be set in stone challenges to earn silver orders and the finale prize a skin for said weapon. This final award can be repeated unlimited times for as many skins to such weapon but it gets progressively more grindy the more tiers a player does them.

Example: Final tier… Kill 50 enemies with bolt-action rifles. Then it progressively adds on 20% to every unlimited tier. Second tier would be 60 enemies, third tier = 72 - and so on. It would continue like this until the event finishes.

I think Dysphorid just means to not have stuff like the Mosin with the cloth wrap from the twitch drops as a separate weapon, and instead it’s a skins. Right now it’s an entirely different weapon which is kinda poor UI/UX design

This - but it can be added to everything else in the game. Tanks that have gold pass skins, premium reduxes for guns, and attachments for the same gun.

Like GGP40 and Schiessbecher and scope AND bayonetted Kar98ks. At least the kar98ks come with baronets now so it’s going in the step forward a little bit. But yeah, there is no need for 4+ weapons of the SAME weapon.

It would probably be user skins similar to how war thunder does it, meaning you could only see it

I don’t think we’re even talking about custom skins. I think this is merely a way to condense the armory UI to make it easy to digest and manage. Using the skins already in game as an example.

I am only referring to released developer skin content added in Enlisted. Premium/Twitch/Event and possibly reworking Attachments.

Personally, I think it should be a list of weapons, and upon clicking on a weapon, it would pull up a list of all variations of that weapon you have. So all the different stars, skins, attachment differences, etc would be there. Instead of all being mashed up on the same menu.

i just had some discount shock therapy shit a few hours ago and i am now doped out of my mind, honestly wasnt able to get through his post without zoning out lol. so i will just assume that this dude is right and pull out of the conversation before i embarrass myself

Exactly. It cleans up the UI and makes it easier to find things if one is a veteran player with a full list of the same gun but different tiers.

i agree.

otherwise people will end up having the tabs full of weapons and skinned weapons clustering all the UI
