because we will never get energy shields or body armor it could be funny to see infantry with shields. Now to be serious most of the pics ill be posting are from WW1, there just to get ideas flowing many were bad ideas when they had them much less WW2, but there seems to be a vocal group that wants a more slow pace strategic gameplay, but if you achieve this by simply making it more lethal you are going to enrage a large percent of the player base, yes the game can be fast paced but you can’t go from one extreme to the other when you do that in real life you get at best scrambled eggs, and at worse another dead game
Now if you want people to play a slower game you need to give them a reason, a shield or body armor would be a good reason and would have a built in explanation, that is you can’t move as fast if you are wearing body armor, carrying a shield or moving a wall
Slowing the game down because bots now instantly fire with pinpoint accuracy as fast as they can pull the trigger will turn this from a WW2 game to a WW1 game without as many trenches, sop worse.
More pics to follow over more posts, hopefully i won’t be posting by myself.
I think everything is completely fine. This is a war game. If some people have any problem whatsoever getting shot, blown up, sniped, etc then they shouldn’t be playing a war game in the first place
Thats not the point some people think the game moves to fast, not me but some people, the problem with slowing down the game is increased exposure to MG’s, artillery, bombers, flamers, and rockets.
you cant just slow down a game without a reason, it might also give some people a reason to actually play the game defending the points so one team does not steam roll the other.
In all fairness, this kind of thought process is how sandbag walls and fortified positions SHOULD be working. Though due to how low of durability they are, the inability to stack sandbag walls, and the lack of other options, it currently isn’t a very good option in many cases.
well two points one shields are mobile or at least can be second bunkers are tricky they can go from under to overpowered, i mean do we want bunkers that can shrug of infantry fire or tank fire because that makes all the difference, also people already think it’s hard-to-place sandbags imagine trying to place a bunker.
Something you may want to try, as its something I do from time to time, lol.
Build an AT field gun, and have your squad following you. Push it forward as a shield and your troops will try to follow behind it and shoot at enemies. Stop and use the field gun as needed to blast infantry, fortified positions, and nests.
Yes, and I have made suggestions as such.
That is where I think its important to let you build it in separate pieces, rather than just one big structure.
