What is the point of AT squads having the ability to build AT guns if regular Engineers can as well. The AT squad is supposed to be the experts on dealing with enemy armor. I suggest only the AT squad can build AT guns, the AT gun would be removed from all other squad types
For regular Engineers it would be replaced with Infantry Support Guns. Engineers are supposed to be a general support class so now they would have a proper weapon to support infantry. Since the very beginning we have used AT guns as our HE lobbers, well it is better to finally have a weapon that was specifically made for that role
This would make these squad types more distinct. So just to reiterate, replace regular Engineer squad’s AT gun with Infantry Support Guns, only the AT squad can build an AT gun. Premium/event squads with Engineers would be updated as well
Aren’t the new BR AT guns supposed to be the heavy AT?
I disagree with this this. First I would say in the game’s current state why would infantry support guns be a unique building as opposed to the more formidable AT guns being a standard unlock.
Second, I think Rifle squads do not need a special building because of their role on the battlefield. They have the most soldiers so their job is to body the objective. That’s why I think it should be a replacement/ addition for the Engineer squad because their job is to support the team like building MG Nests
It’s like Assaulters don’t really need a special building because their job is to, no pun intended, assault the objective with SMGs, they don’t have no time to be sitting around
