Infantry support gun/Mountain gun as AT gun alternative

I think infantry gun would be a nice addition to the game, maybe as research option for Engineer class. Infantry gun would fill the same niche as AT gun but more of anti infantry than anti tank + smoke cover with smoke shell, also most WW2 Infantry gun can also fire HEAT shell so tank would not be a problem for these gun.

Alternatively it can be given to Radio squad’s engineer and heavier AT-guns to AT-squads. Or better yet, give it to the Rifleman-squad’s engineer, thus incentivizing its use and reducing assault squads prolific use.

Use that to replace the unrealistic artillery strike that comes in like a plasma rain in Star Wars.

I would love for there to far more collector kit in game.

Guns like these that would not be destabilizing but fun to use could be offered up that way as part of a specialty squad.

the 65/17 also had a rather large shield which provided excellent coverage

How is it gonna replace it? One is indirect artillery strike call by radio operator. Another is direct fire infantry gun that can be build by engineers . I see no connection between them.

YES. I really like the suggestion. I for one enjoy using the field guns that currently exist in the game but do wish they were a bit more effective against infantry. Perhaps giving this to the engineer squad and the existing AT field gun to an AT squad like how the HMG is for MG squads would be nice.
