Inspired by World at War, the Berlin U-Bahn might be an interesting way of introducing infantry-only combat.
The Berlin U-Bahn saw fierce fighting in claustrophobic conditions, although the tracks themselves provide some space for longer engagements.
There’s a possibility of including secondary objectives, like on Airfield. The Germans flooded some subway lines to slow down the Russians, which could be a potential secondary objective - activating or preventing the flood.
Yea this looks cool but I wonder about situations such as an Mg34 or Flak gun completely blocking a choke point. But aside from that I’ll approve of it.
What do you mean no vehicles. I’m going to use my ace combat experience to fly a fucking me 262 into the subway then dunk on the point with 2 250 kilo bombs
Konigsplatz needs a sequel invasion map that takes place inside the Reichstag itself with the last cap being at the roof. Strictly infantry only too like how the hell you can get tanks inside the buildings anyway.
I’d certainly love such a map! It would be even better (if not more claustrophobic) if that setting was very dark, so that every muzzle flash would get veeery visible. That would be quite an ambiance.
they wont make infantry maps the norm, they make too much $ from prem vehicles, so having maybe 1/5 maps infantry would prob be the max if they do it. I hope we do get a map or 2 for each campaign
