Infantry games

why bother to make infantry games , filled with tanks planes and arty , if you ever played you would know that it just wrecks it for everyone.

How is this a suggestion exactly?

Well, they were making a combined arms game and not an infantry game. That being said, interaction between different elements of the game are indeed poorly designed, and that includes infantry vs ground vehicles vs airplanes interactions. It’s mostly just all thrown together for players to wade through.

I assure you, combined arms can work. It’s just that there has to be a clear vision of how they want it to work.

Tanks are easy to kill, and planes are essentially blind dropping their ordnance in the hopes of hitting the right area. :man_shrugging:

If people would actually bother to bring AT soldiers tanks would become much less of a threat. I’ve seen many people simply walk right past tanks and it actually shocks tankers when I pull out a PIAT and blast them

I think the point is that tanks really aren’t that much of a threat . Why bring AT soldiers when everyone is carrying demo packs which deal with tanks pretty effectively …

Demo packs only work on stupid (or unlucky) tank drivers. If you come across a good tanker then you need something better.

Range. The ones that believe they are out of range of demo packs are in for a shock when I yeet a PIAT at them and kill half the crew.

A well-timed demo pack from a hidden position is lethal against any tanker.

Of course it’s easier to be sneaky with an antimaterial rifle.

Monastery as conquest map is a good de facto inf map as vehicles (especially planes) are pretty useless there.
