@Naohmcete
I think your arguments are not worth responding to and are tantamount to warcrime denial.
@robihr,
I think your arguments are rather weak.
Lest start with your point about equality, this is frankly a bad reason for including this squad and makes you sound a bit childish. ‘Someone else has it’ is not an argument (unless your talking about game balance). Besides, the SS squad should bot have been added either, NKVD is also highly questionable. ‘Equality’ in this context is retarted. Why add equality when they could just add other more interesting squads for Japanese? Why add the most evil japanese soldiers?
Also just a smal sidenote, i dont now to much about the specific NKVD squads, but these guys were also just militairy police units, every army has them. The NKVD did horrible things, but also just normal militairy police stuf. So the in game squad might not have been involved with to many crimes while with 731 we now pretty fucking well that they got involved in major crimes. So, their is a qualitative difference when comparing these units. (Although, as said, I dont know ghe specifics about the depicted NKVD squads, they might be horrible too, but i hope you understand my point regardless)
The point about rape does not work on any level and is by far the weakest argument. To compare horror units which purpose was to do to cruel tests on humans to Morocan rape is just dumb. Look rape is horrible, but everyone did this, Japs, Germans, Soviets. To compare this to the horror of Japanese human testing? the Soviets, Canadians and US did not go out of their way to do such horrible things. One is soldiers misbehaving and negligent leadership, (not a strategy as you called it). The other is a Japanese government purposely sending out soldiers to force people into brutal cruel human tests. There is a BIG fucking difference between those two things. So, no warcrimes are not just warcrimes in this case.
To explain in very very simple terms. There is a significant difference between depicting a squad that have done some bad things while in a long war, and a squads which main purpose was to do bad things for some fucked up ideological or scientific reason.
So, stop pretending everyone is on the same level here.
PS. If you want to find actually hypocrisy of the allies;
I actually had to do research into the topic of victors peace at Neurenburg once. I believe I stil have some papers laying around. If you want I could share the title with you so you could look it up. In summary, there were cases of hypocrazy, stuf like Germany getting punished for unrestricted submarine warfare, eventhough the US pretty much did the same thing against the Japanese.
