Increased distance between "Squad Wait Here" marker and player

Title says it all.
I think it’s about 30 meters, the current allowed distance from wait command marker and player.
If you can build a spawn point the closest at 40 meters, and you have your squad wait for you, soon as you’re on the point your squad is right behind you, running like headless chickens, easy target for mass shooting (if you noticed they all walk the same path…just get where they go, you get the first, you get them all…!)

I suggest the distance will be increased to at least 50 meters.

Also coz AI is damn dumb at the moment, I feel like I’m their carer more than their sergeant, or their nurse rather their commander…so actually the further they stay from me, the better for my mental sanity. Until they won’t behave better they’re absolutely useless if not as cannon fodder.
And i believed the unicity and focus of Enlisted was the actual squad. Pretty overrated imho.

Please do. Distance is awful right now.

Agreed. If possible, I would like the AI to follow orders no matter how far away they are.
Furthermore, I would like it to listen to the command to be on the gun turret of the AA or MG.

Having your dudes actually manning the high calibers that would be lots of tactical fun
I guess it involves quite a lot of coding tho.
There’s plenty of code to fix already

I don’t know how hard the programming work is, but surely having a bot operate a machine gun on the ground doesn’t seem that difficult, since the bot can already get on the air machine gun.
However, looking at the bug that is happening now with tank crews firing submachine guns, it seems to me that having a bot operate a machine gun on the ground would be too powerful.
The most difficult part may be balancing the game.

Yeah. Defo overkill

Enter the rifle grenade launcher

Definitely. I can’t use my squad for much of anything cuz they just keep following me around. I tell them to assault, they give up halfway there and turn around; I give them a fire position, they abandon it as soon as I move. Even simple things like covering the backdoor while I man a machine gun seem to trigger their separation anxiety.

must say, ok, yes you can make them man something, but what’s point, if they wont shoot, they wont move the AT gun etc, just seems silly, to have them sit in something and not even use it.

I want the AI to operate the MGs and AAs I have set up and automatically fire at any enemy that comes within range. Just like a machine gun seat on an aircraft.
I want to place machine guns in areas where friendly defenses are thin and have them function like sentry guns.
I know that the current AI can get into the machine gun, but it does not have the ability to fire. The improvements in functionality that are required include the AI gaining the ability to shoot properly.
Also, I already mentioned in my post above that if the AI is implemented as I hope it will be, it may be too advantageous to the defenders. My desire is simple, but to make it work in a game would require a lot of balancing, including incorporating random accuracy and reaction time into the AI’s shooting ability as well, which would make it much more difficult to actually implement in a game.
