Yet, you never used actual stats as an argument. I highly doubt you even know it existed.
Yes, the best statistics that do not reflect reality
Fg 42 2 is a laser gun in a real fight, I can’t pin an auto to a point at any distance like fg 42 2. Although according to statistics it should be the other way around.
Well. The FG is accurate because the numbers tell it to be. If it has the same dispersion as the MKb, it wouldnt be laser. Same goes to recoil.
Before the dispersion update on machine guns, it was the same laser, perhaps on other maps it would be noticeable.
Statistics are bare numbers that do not show the final result.
Because it had average dispersion of 0.4 or so before which is still “laser” for Enlisted standards.
If people dont aim, best stats wont help for sure. But you wont be as (in)accurate with an MP28 as with an FG or the MP38.
As per the topic, there is a bias or increase in the number of rounds for some weapons that is unclear: if 5/20 is the default in the number of clips as in the kar98k bolt action and 4 magazines in reserve, the semi-auto Gewehr 43 can have 10/40. The semi-auto/full-auto FG42, AVT-40, and M2 series have 2-3 spare magazines.
The FG42 can only carry 2 magazines, probably because it is set to match the default ammunition count of the competing AVS-36 and AVT-40.
FG42 - 20/40 = 60
AVS-36 -15/45 = 60
However, unlike ground troops who can increase the number of ammunition by using large ammunition pouches, etc.
paratroopers have their slots occupied by parachutes,
the number of ammunition can not be changed. While Vickers and Thompson squads have large-capacity drum magazines, a normal-capacity FG42 squad has a difference of -100 to 120 rounds, including grenades.
“The power of the bullets is incomparable!!!” or “Vickers and Thompson have more bullets because they are less accurate!!!” You may argue, "I don’t think they are accurate. My opinion is that we don’t want to have a situation where we have to kill with a handgun every time because we don’t have all the bullets in the rifle, unlike a situation where we have to use a handgun in close combat because we don’t have time to change the magazine.
How about changing the number of rounds in the Krieghoff FG from the current 20/80=100 to 20/100=120, the same as the normal FG42 equipped with a large ammo pouch, and shifting the grenade-equipped FG42 to the current 20/80=100 of the Krieghoff FG? (Although the Krieghoff can easily control recoil when perked with the full-auto setting from the beginning, so it is enough as it is now (haha…)).
Personally, I would like to see more ammunition for airborne squadrons in the Pacific as well.
Finally… I guess that we should not forget to be thankful for the fact that we can have more ammo.
How about a compromise?
FG would get +1 mag when you resuply from the ammo box.
Just a wild idea.
It might be possible to spread it throughout the weapon as a simple idea.
However, this has to go through the motions of building ammunition boxes.
It’s an unstable aspect of the fundamental combat readiness.
It would also add an exceptional item to the ammunition box, which would be time consuming from a technical standpoint.
I think it would only be necessary to change the ammunition count item by typing in the number of ammunition items like we have done so far for Normandy, Berlin, Stalingrad, and Pacific weapons.
Is that necessarily a bad thing…?
