the m1g and m1 were not TOP weapons. however, they have received considerable nerf. Although for the m1g the impact is not felt much since it was more used in the medium-short and medium-long range (since it still retains its damage and precision), in the case of the m1 carbine the opposite occurs. The m1 carbine comparing its statistics has a much lower damage than the m1g at close range which made the user have to give at least 3 shots to the opponent to send him to the ground (vs the m1g that only needs 1), in addition to the M1 carbine has a very high inaccuracy rate due to its high recoil. All of the above made the m1 carbine a very difficult weapon to play at medium distances, but not happy with that, they now take away the rate of fire, if it was already difficult to kill someone with 3 shots from close range, now with this nerf it is even worse . This update as it occurred has been unnecessary, because the high level smg’s were already superior in short range. If you want to nerf something to show fairness you should start by doing it with the MG34 and MG42 that practically do not have a recoil, having a weapon like that the SMGs are for decoration.

Nerfs are NOT the solution, when it start it never ends. Look at what happened to H&G. They nerfed EVERYTHING to a point they lost their community because the fun factor went down the drain.
You ask for specific lmg nerfs, wich makes it easy to assume you are an ally main. What will you say once they nerf all BAR and upcoming m1919 after nerfing the german lmgs?
Don’t give devs dumb ideas. Instead, ask for a semi auto nerf reversal.

It goes without saying. Removing semi auto nerf will boost carbines as well.
That semi autonerf will not make gameplay better. It will only make players use smgs and automatics more… hello call of duty…
Even then the carbines, all 3 models, are lacking the ability to fire faster and hit harder than .45 with the only carbine retaining those two upgrades being the m2a1

To be fair, I still feel like the M1 Carabine is that weapon everyone is crying about being nerfed to the ground, and yet, is the weapon I see most used by allied players (second only to the default Springfield) because it’s still a very strong and reliable weapon. Not to mention, when you get into a position where you can go prone and mount the gun, the M1 Carabine transforms into an lmg with literally 0 recoil and high fire rate. When you dish out more than 10 shots a second, it doesn’t matter that it takes 3 to kill someone. At that point the biggest weakness of the weapon is how fast you chew trough your ammo pool.

a little more reading comprehension. I’m clearly mentioning to them to remove that obviously unnecessary nerf. Otherwise they do the same with the other side. And here nobody sucks their thumb not to realize the low recoil that the mg42 and mg34 have. I know very well what happened with H&G because I spent more than 6 years playing it and it started like that with nerfs who asked the community, especially those who loved to play with Germans, not happy with the advantages, they asked for more.
Nerfs were requested the most by allies mains, because german equipment was good. It’s not the werhaboos that wanted nerfs, surprisingly. Meanwhile Soviets mains didn’t complain, they were a nice middle ground.
I played H&G years also, still had my legacy soldiers till they recently removed the feature.
My point was: don’t ask for nerfs… ever… devs are making weird decisions for a while, you don’t want to give them other weird ideas.

But realistically bro, just look at the stats of the mg 42 and mg34 vs any smg. They are the only weapons that do not keep a bit of restraint. 15 of recoil (MG) vs 26 of the thompson. I have played with Germans as well and I am speaking from a neutral point of view. To confirm what I say are the stats in the game, the statistics of each weapon are there I do not say.
While you’re speaking of Carbines, the nerf also affected the VG 1-5. And when it comes to Carbines, Darkflow should half their recoil stats to make it more less equal to those of MP 43/1 (which had a stronger cartridge, but also an in-line layout) and raise damage to around 7.7 stock.
I agree with you, it is obvious that it has to have less damage, but take away the only decent thing that the carbines had? That nerf must have been only for the m1g and similar weapons. currently my 1911 pistol is better than the m1 carbine, it’s crazy. they have to be very careful with the nerfs because it is a snowball effect.
It’s not vertical recoil that makes weapon inaccurate (unless it’s above around 30 or 40). That you can mitigate with a mouse since it always goes one direction - up. It’s the horizontal recoil that’s impossible to mitigate by things other than the perk. And Thompson has 10 (or 11 in case of the M1A1) of it while MG 34 and 42 have 19 and 16 respectively (and no possibility to upgrade it while you can reduce Thompson’s recoil by 10% on the 2nd upgrade).
Yes, they obviously should reverse the semi auto nerf, I agree with that. I said they should buff Carbines additionally.

Show me a video where you shoot 10-15 bullets without a bipod and hit at least 2/3 in the target at a distance of 30-50 meters
Show me a video where the MG has no recoil
They have as much recoil as some SMGs if they are bipoded. Without bipods you spray and pray if you shoot >5m.
