Commanders! With the upcoming update, Enlisted will have a section containing text guides to help you familiarize yourself with the game’s various interfaces.
You can check them out by clicking on the newly added question mark button.
The articles, featuring screenshots and short videos, will cover important aspects of upgrading soldiers and vehicles, changing their appearance, using presets, as well as a general introduction to the game’s interface.
These guides will be available in English, German and Russian.
They will contain information that can be useful for both experienced players and newcomers to Enlisted.
Don’t forget to put your newly acquired knowledge into practice!
This is one of the things I’ve always personally wished would come to the game as there’s so much new players can learn - hyped to finally see it ready to come to the game soon!
Seconded, #1 most common complaint from new players I chat with on Twitch is the lack of explanation for many of the game’s core mechanics like the BR system, soldier/squad leveling and the tech tree in general.
As an example, I chatted with a returning player just the other day who hasn’t played since the merge and he had no idea that taking just 1 BR V gun would uptier him to BR V matches and was frustrated at facing consistently better geared opponents with his BR 1 & 2 guns.
Having good documentation is great, and I love that we get more official text ingame, but most players aren’t going to bother to read it. I agree with iso, the tutorials need an overhaul and to be mandatory a la Helldivers II, and preferably voiced, not just text on the screen.
Again, most new players never even notice that the keybinds for controls are shown next to the UI item they correspond to, so in my opinion just having additional text and linked videos is insufficient for the sheer amount of information the game throws at you right as you start out, but it is a good start.
Giving new players access to easy to find guides is great! My only concern is for bugs that currently exist confusing players when they are unable to do something the guides are trying to teach. An example being that naming some soldier presets (at least for me) don’t work properly. This would directly counter what the guide would be trying to teach.
I guess if is just the same option all other game have… It should allow random player to join a group of people with less 4 members if both the random player and the group owner has the box check
