In desperate need to have a command that make the squad stop shooting and fall back.
I bet we all noticed that when troops are engaging, there is no way to order them to fall back.
Would be nice to have that.
Moreover, I wonder if troops come with a default defend or attack?
I’d like to be able to press a button upon losing an objective and send my AI troops back to the next objective while I hold the line. Could be a neat feature.
This is so badly needed. and for your squad to actually go where you tell them.
You can set them to passive and give a move order to get the effect you’re asking for

No, the squad’s default setting is agressive(there is no icon for that on the left bottom corner)
However, if your latest setting of a squad is passive, the squad will keep that setting(including formation) the next time you spawn in it.

I mean if I pull out infantry and set them on passive, then I spawn with assault squad, will the this squad be on passive now, too?

Do we have a quick button that we can press to switch from aggressive to passive? Istead of having to access the wheel?
Sorry, I was not clear about this.
For example, you have assaulter, engineer and sniper squad. Their default setting is agressive. You spawn in the sniper squad and set them passive. The setting of other two squads remain as agressive.
When you spawn in a sniper squad again(after playing other squads), the squad will be set in passive mode.
I don’t know if there is button for switching modes.

Now the problem is, how bad passive squad is?
If one gets killed all the other shoot back or if someone comes close they start to shoot, or if they shoot towards them without hitting them they shoot back?
I don’t know the exact condition at which the AI starts shooting back when they are in passive mode. All I know is that AI in passive mode don’t shoot unless an enemy attacks them.
You can point at the next cap, press X and the squad will go there (or die trying).
Giving X order directly on cap points makes your AI go there without restrictions on max distance from the player. It works both in attack and defence.
Yeah, but definitely not something I would ever do, tbh. Maybe in some unique situation, when I want them to die
Yeah, I’m aware of this. Although it unfortunately almost never works out right. I wanna have a direct order to send them back no matter what, even if they’re being lightly engaged.
I agree, what’s wrong in a command “fall back” or retreat. It’s definitely what would happen in a normal war scenario, I hope they implement that.
It’s already fucking ridiculous that Invasion has remained a cluster fuck gamemode. Honestly, a fall back command and 45 second to 1 minute timer to let players fall back before having Attackers charge a point should’ve been implemented ages ago. Invasion was the better gamemode to play but it still feels incomplete.
