In addition to the "More immersive background design" i suggest: Different background musics for different campaigns

Continuing the discussion from More Immersive Background Design:

I would like to add that a specialised background music for the factions or the campaigns would make the campaigns feel more different.

Just like in war thunder, an example:

It would be even better if enlisted gets its own soundtracks for each campaign… They improve the atmosphere and make campaigns feel more specialized and different from another.

@James_Grove What do you think?

examples of background music making the campaigns feel more specialized and atmospheric and unique to play:

This would perfectly fit Stalingrads atmosphere:

This would perfectly fit normandys atmosphere:

This would perfectly fit moscows atmosphere:

This would perfectly fit pacifics atmosphere:

I am not the only one who can feel temparature and morale through soundtracks right?

I don’t think it hard to implement (it’s only my opinion, it might be a lot harder then its looks:law stuff, recording… etc), cool addition to better backgrounds.
But as always i can only forward this с:
Thanks for having so much interest in Enlisted!

Want to blast some “Erika” in Moscow !

Since “Stalin” or “Fatherland” are to political or due to copyright issues, i would not think they would add it (but maybe through custom mods later  )

There is more ambient music in the files? Where do i find them

The ambiance sound in Red Orchestra 1 made me shiver. Only time I felt the desperation and grim reality of war in a game. I genuinely felt scared as I defended Danzig as a German rifleman to cover for the rest of the army withdrawal. Or I felt rage as a Soviet soldier charging for revenge.

I’m not even lying.

It was unlike all those CoD or recent woke Battlefields that merely look like action movies…

How about this?

Though this would fit in for WW2 more (and I prefer this one anyway)

(Pls dont censor because of cubism)

I’m ready for the Stalingrad tractor factory rave party!

A different music fading when the victory is near would be great and a different music by camp would be great too … an erika for germany axis for example … soviet hymn for communist etc etc

My BGM ideas could think of for campaigns

Moscow:

Stalingrad:

Berlin:

Or could be faction based like this one

Nice!

What about this one:

(Red Orchestra 1 Danzig map)

I’d see that in Berlin.

Or this one:

Would be nice in Stalingrad Traktor factory, or this one:

Even then cod ww2(not vanguard and that is also my first cod game) had some nice voices announcements and cutscenes in it’s war mode. As an example in the Ardennes map After Germany pushes the 2 KTs up the game announces that one was taken out by the Sherma which you can also see happening in game too, and on the same map of the Germans pushed to the bridge and fail to push out; then the allies blows it up and the advance Germans get sent to the bottom of the river with the bridge

I think enlisted’s current available menu music is good enough (track 2 is my favourite).
Though, if folks want, why not?

I’ve been playing for over a year, turned off menu music after 3 weeks
Not that i didn’t like it, but i got tired of it after hearing it over and over again

Well, it just plays once, unless you play a match, but if you’re staying in the menu managing the logistic or other stuff, it would play a single track, and then remain in near-silence (the only noises would appear when you select a vehicle, such as a tank squad - making a metallic sqeak).
Though, I understand why, if playing every day - I can play only about once a week.

I mean, even CoD… the very first one, was based on movies.

It was fantastic thought, because it tried to emulate OLD CLASSIC movies

Not like today. Everything CoD or battlefield (ww1 and ww2 included) looks like they try to be a fast and furius action movie, with battlefield being woke to boot, cause why not. War shouldn’t be offensive…

So the dam level with SAS, killing half of a german division alone from what movie is taked? 007?

Many different movies in fact.

  • One is literally the intro of
    “enemy at the gates”
  • one is “The guns of Navarone”
  • one is… and it’s crazy… Indiana Jones. When you assault a German manor. All the way you’re with colonial beard sarge: it’s you (Indiana) and colonial beard (Sir Shaun Connery)
  • One is “A bridge too far”

Etc.

I noted some of them but the dam level is not from a ww2 movie
