Improving gameplay

Then your idea is totally horrific.

4 men groups are more than enough in 10 v 10 matches.
In fact, this number should be reduced to 3.

The average is 6, the max is 9. Just upgrade them

Oh yeah no. Concurred. We need less people squadiing up, not more. Although 4 player groups is standard

Dude you don’t understand LOL. Literally. How many people will i take to understand what exactly I’m talking about. GO INTO THE GAME . TO THE MAIN MENU.LOOK AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT HAND SIDE… YOU SEE THE “INVITE TO SQUAD” option? There’s a total of 4 available spots to add your friends to play with you, making a total of 5 in A SQUAD…

Wtf do you mean, there is still sessions with BOTS… having an entire pre-organized team should be allowed.

imo there’s two reasons

  1. they’re very easy to use, very effective, 7 man squad simply fun to use

  2. they’re VERY versatile, they can deal with tanks due to explosive packs as you’ve said, they can build rally point, they can call arty, literally why on earth would you want to bring any other squad

I just went 164 and 1 death using mortars and AT Gun. …lol

Unrelated, but does anyone know how to convert ERPL format to any other format? Because if you download a replay, that’s what they give you. It’s a pain the ass to have to go into the game, and re-record a replay. I can’t seem to convert the file type to anything else, I’ve tried in VLC and a few others.

and that is the EXACT problem that I have with them.

They are far too versatile. They make other squads simply not worth taking and their unique strengths basically removed.

The game needs a more defined system of counter-play. Where each squad has unique strengths and weaknesses, rather than all-purpose squads that are repeatedly spammed because they do all the other jobs simultaneously.

I have 20d battle time.
1.86 K/D
60% Win rate
The weapon I have most kills with, are shitty bolt actions. 20,000.
It’s just a matter of what your personally good with. My submachine gun kills are only 3500.

Not saying its impossible, I’ve done it too, but generally only when the other team is excessively bad or I’m playing mostly bots.

The thing is that mortars require manual aiming, generally a teammate as a spotter, access to the open sky, only come on the mortar squad, and a large quantity of ammo boxes. Its effect is that it can kill infantry, unless cover is involved, and with the 80mm mortars of the German and Soviet factions a direct hit can kill a tank.

Meanwhile, radio operators can just click on an area on a map every couple minutes and delete everyone and everything in that circle. It obliterates all fortifications, has no limit on range, can be used from inside of buildings, and can be equipped to every squad pretty much. Oh and let’s not forget that a near hit will kill light tanks and about half of the medium tanks, and a direct hit will kill even the heaviest of tanks.

that’s right. Whenever I take AT squad I take it out of sheer desire, not because they are an effective squad. In fact, I consciously reduce my effectiveness in combat, because running back-to-back assaulters is simply boring for me, although i know there are sweats who wouldn’t care.

I never use AT, I always use Engineers and the AT gun. I think I’ve used RU AT, and just ended up sniping infantry with the anti-material rifle lol

Now think about the whole system if it were overhauled in terms of counterplay.

  • Assaulters against an exposed position of infantry win out
  • Engineers can fortify to effectively stop assaulters
  • Tanks can be used to push through fortified positions
  • AT soldiers can be used to eliminate tanks
    • at this point this can come full circle and other squads can play various roles in this.

Point is, if each squad has defined strengths and weaknesses, and no squads are given the sheer versatility to be one-size-fits all capabilities, the gameplay will be significantly more entertaining and balanced, preventing it from stagnating.

I agree. The problem that we face unfortunately is the players that are pretty much exclusively solo, and argue that its not fair that teamwork wins out against disorganized solo players.

Yet there is nothing stopping them from grouping up.

Was WW2 fought with every soldier thinking that it was entirely up to them and they couldn’t work with others? NO!
Teamwork needs to be used, and players should be more incentivized to work TOGETHER to achieve VICTORY rather than every man for themselves, solely focusing on their own gains.

I’d kinda rather five but that is only because my personal play group has five people. Otherwise I like it at four I can play with friends and it won’t make the same mistake of Apex Legends. Our four and five man group splits whenever we want to play Apex and it’s not as fun.

I think EP being limited might help. It’d make your choice of soldiers when upgrading more important and matter. I’ve been denied building rallies before by my only engineer in my assault squad being killed. I think this change would be fair and allow more versatility.

The purpose of the 4-person team is to reduce the probability of death convoys.
Because when more than half of the opponents are team players,
It would be a devastating blow to a single player
This is more difficult to fight than a group of experts without a command

1 makes sense

High-explosive bombs may ricochet

3: Allow more than 4 members per squad.

Considering i saw youtuber with an obv more than 4 stacks i think you can already do it.

I got 3 friends, only 2 of which play Enlisted. Only 1 of which is semi consistent
