There is room for a significant improvement for the new player experience, requiring minimal changes by the developers. Below is small list of changes that would help with new player retention:
-
Lock BR1 - Players from BR2 should not be able to play against people with BR1 armies, the power spike is absolutely masive from the infantry weaponary, tanks and planes between the two brackets, perhaps the largest difference in the entire game.
-
Change the default squad composition - remove the Sniper squad and replace it with an Engineering Squad. A good engineer can win the game, introducing new players to rallies early is only a positive for everybody on their team and future games. Sniper squads are useless BR1-5.
-
Scoring System - There is too much encouragement for rewarding poor play. Too many points for shooting down npc Bombers, too many points for gray zone tanks, too many points for vehicle combat in general. Reduce the vehicle points slightly and increase the points for objectives and building rallies. Encourage team game play. No harm in increasing medic score either. Defusing bombs do not reward any objective points what so ever, please add that into the game.
A few minimal changes would improve the gameplay drasticaly for new players and their team mates.
Thanks for your consideration

These are changes we have been advocating for basically forever. I’ve been playing the game for over a year now, and constantly even in BR III and IV matches, find people who still have no clue on how to play the game or just grey zone camp or go on killing sprees without actually contributing to the team.
Engineers are the most powerful soldier in the game. They should be given as a starting class, and then you can specialise later whether you want a dedicated AT squad or Sniper squad. It gives the wrong impression on new players that only kills matter, when they are the last thing you should be searching for in Enlisted.
I particularly agree with this statement. Rallies should be giving 50 points, just like APCs do. And I was thinking, maybe for every minute or half minute, you get 18xp for standing on the objective, just like you get from people using AA guns that you built. It would help promote better gameplay.

Agree in general.
However I don’t think BR1-2 power difference is anywhere near BR4-5.
Good luck taking G43 against T20, Hyde, AF, AS and RPD endless spam.
Or T-34-85 / Sherman 76mm against Tiger 2.
I think allowing BR1 players to use APCs would greatly help them compete with BR2 in terms of map presence/spawn frequency.

you forgot a few important points:
-
Show players how the BR system works. I still see people having one high BR premium squad and / or 1 high BR event weapon and rest BR I and cry why they can’t do anything in the battle
→ DF / Gaijin needs to explain to the players that they get matched because of the highest BR their squads using and that Tier ≠ BR
-
rework the tutorial and show players the importance of marking enemies + building RallyPoints / using APCs

agree with the last 2 points. idk about the first one tho. I don’t think the power gap is that huge (well maybe for Russia but that is an entirely different issue). I mean yes they are upgrades but not by a whole lot.
